Hi, was wondering if anyone could help me. I have booked to go Cayo Guillermo 22nd. March for 2 weeks from Manchester, I paid £50.00 each for the old premium seats for our return which now looks highly unlikely they will be there in March. Also when I booked I was booking a 33" pitch seat for my outbound flight which also looks highly unlikely. I have not received a letter yet to tell me that the seats will be 29". I have phoned my travel agent up (T. Cook) and she says I will probably get a letter soon. What I want to know if this is the case do you think they will let me cancel and re-book with First Choice to another area in Cuba? The travel agent says yes but half the time T. Cook give out wrong information. Thanks

Liam, it's not showing a 767, but a 752 G-WJAN. Estimated at 0700.

Pansypotter,

The A332's are being reconfigured at the end of the summer season to an all economy layout so the former premium seats won't be onboard. More details on our What Aircraft? guide (link below). Changes to aircraft are covered under their terms and conditions so if you cancel, you are likely to lose your deposit, although you'll have to wait for the letter to see what they offer.

I was wondering whether anyone can help.

This is the first time we've used TC airlines to fly to Florida, having only ever flown with them before within Europe. We're due to fly to Sanford on the 19th August 2011 from Manchester - flight number TCX224. Firstly, we'd be interested to know what seat-plan configuration the plane might be and also whether seatback IFE will be available. We've had conflicting information regarding this so it would be good to know, once & for all, whether this is likely.

We're also getting conflicting information about the flight times. Our holiday itinerary states that we're due to fly out at 11.00 am, but we've heard through other forums & websites that the flight time is actually 12.30 pm. We've checked with our agents to see if the flight time has changed for some reason, but they haven't heard anything to confirm this. We'd be interested to know whether anyone else is flying out on the same flight and has a definite time confirmed.

carolshack,

Welcome onboard :tup
MAN-SFB-MAN (TCX224/5) are operated by an Airbus A330-300. You'll find extensive aircraft information on our What Aircraft? guide (link below) including a link to the seating plan for the aircraft. Have a look at my post to Drat above as he's also on the same flight. Seat back IFE isn't installed on this aircraft, it has screens located above the isles. With regards to flight times, these will be confirmed on your tickets when you get them. Never rely on changes posted on forums, always go off the information provided by your tour operator or airline. If it has changed, they will contact you or confirm it on tickets. The flight is showing on Thomas Cooks system as departing at 1230, arriving in SFB at 1630. The departure on the inbound flight is 1830, arriving back in MAN at 0750 the following morning, but check on your tickets when you get them.

Thanks very much for your reply. It's much appreciated and the link to the seatplans is useful, too.

The flight time you have stated as being quoted on Thomas Cook systems is obviously showing up as a different time to our booking confirmation, so as you say, no doubt this will be confirmed when our tickets arrive. We've booked our car hire separately, based on the initial flight times, so looks like we'll be amending this, if this is the case.....!!!

Thanks again. :)

Hi, We are travelling to punta Cana from gatwick on 25th July. We booked our seats online 38 j & h and 39 j & h as this showed us a 2 x 2 set up by the window. We got our tickets today and not only has the flight time changed slightly but the seat configuration it shows with our tickets is different making row 38 a row of 3 seats near the window instead of 2 seats. Does anyone have any information on this please or know where I can check this out. I specifically booked the 2 x 2 as this suits us, dont want to make a big thing of it but what configuration plan should I go by.
Thank you in advance

micky,

I would take the seat plans in the ticket booklet with a pinch of salt as they aren't always the correct ones (short haul seat plan rather than the long haul). You'll find the correct seating plans linked from our What Aircraft? guide (link below). Refer to this one for the correct seating in the rear of the cabin. The rear 5 rows are 2-3-2 as it's where the fuselage starts to curve. There are 7 rows on the short haul. I posted a photo of the rear cabin here. Your flight is operated by one of the former My Travel A330-200's.

Hello

Just wondering about he allocation of the ex premium cabin seats on Thomas Cook flights
We are travelling to cancun 15 Aug on TCX 296 and noticed from a previous post by Drat that they have reserved seats online in the old premium cabin when flying to Sanford
I was lead to belief that these seats were only going to be allocated at check in on the day and was not available any other way.

If anyone could let me know if they have changed there policy again, i would be grateful.

david p 1572,

Drat is flying on the larger Airbus A330-300. This aircraft is all economy and doesn't have a premium section at the front. Your flights are operated by the Airbus A330-200. Details of how the former premium, now extra legroom seats are allocated is explained on this page. You'll find extensive aircraft information on our What Aircraft? guide (link below).

Hi Darren,

My wife and I are going to The Gambia in November flying with Thomas Cook on flight TCX2108
Our information tells us nothing about the aircraft we will be flying on.
We tried to book premier seats but where told they no longer offer this service so we settled for the next best thing
and that is we paid extra for the privalage of being able to book our seats from the 15th August
Can you advise us as to what aircraft it will be and what you would consider to be the best seats, we do prefer a window seat.

Many thanks

tush,

MAN-BJL-MAN (TCX2108/9) are operated by a Boeing 757-200. Gambia (Banjul) isn't classed as a long haul destination. Premium seats were never offered on that route and have been withdrawn now anyway on long haul. There are no 'best' seats. Seating is personal preference. They're all pretty similar so it's really a question of whether you want to sit towards the front, middle or rear. All seat other than extra legroom have the same seat pitch and facilities so it's really up to you. Seat A and F are by the window. All I would say is you might want to avoid rows near to the toilets so you don't have people queing by you and disturbing you. You'll find extensive aircraft information on our What Aircraft? guide (link below) including aircraft photos and a link to the seat plan.

I thought Premium had finished and that you can only book premium seat for your return journey without the extra's that premium used to give you. Also the planes are going to be refitted to 29" seats, or is this on just some of the long haul plane. Sorry I want to cancel this message as I have read an old thread. (Sorry again)

Hello again

Having never let me down before could the people in the know clarify the following:

TCX2462 MAN-ACE 25th July 2011 and TCX2463 ACE-MAN 8th August 2011. What aircraft will be used for these routes?

Hoping for a 767-300 again, my favourite aircraft.

Many Thanks

Hi,

Flying from Manchester to Las Palmas 22nd Sept Flight TCX 2018. Just want to clarify, if possible, is it 757-200 that is used on this flight?

MAN-LPA-MAN (TCX2018/9) are indeed showing as a Boeing 757-200. You'll find extensive aircraft information on our What Aircraft? guide (link below).
