Don't worry. Ad-hoc charters or flights that have changed once the information is compiled (many months in advance) are often not reflected on airport websites.

Flew out on 29th July TCX 472 MAN-SFB. Do you know what the reg no of the plane was please.
Returned on 12th August TCX 473 which I know was G-OMYT
When we checked in at Manchester at 06.00 for 09.20 departure our party of 4 was told that there were no seats left that would allow us to sit together so we ended up spread out around the plane. Talking to some others on the flight they checked in at 07.00 and got extra legroom and a party of 5 were sat together.
On the return we arrived at Sanford as 12.00 for 15.35 and were immediately told that our seats were 43A,B,H & J.
Do Thomas Cook pre assign the seating as at Sanford she did not have time to even look through the seat plan? Row 43 is the last in the plane so was ideal to recline the seat!!
Thanks

It should have been G-MDBD.

If its aircraft i suspect are emergency rows at 10 and 11 worthwhile? Are rows in front around 4-7 standard or extra legroom as these are a lot cheaper? Thanks
I don't have the Winter 2011 aircraft schedule as yet, but it's likely to be a Boeing 757-200 or Airbus A321-200. Seating is personal preference. If you would prefer the extra legroom, then it might be worth paying the extra for you. You'll find extensive aircraft information on our What Aircraft? guide (link below). Only seats on bulkhead and exit rows offer extra legroom.

It has been a long time since I have been on this forum despite loving it. Could somebody please update myself. I have travelled Thomas Cook before and have always managed to complete "Your seat your choice" a long way in advance. However this time I can not seem to access the website and it keeps mentioning the 90 day rule. Is their a way around this?

In a word, no. Details are on Thomas Cook Airlines website.

Thanks as usual for the swift reply. Things seem to change every year. I am still not sure about Gambia as a destination but I needed a week during Half term somewhere hot!
Can you please tell me which aircraft (reg) if possible will be operating Newcastle-Faro flight no: TCX6318 this Saturday 20th Aug 2011, I know it is a 757-200 apparently already.
NCL currently has X4 based 752 I understand at NCL this summer x2 of which are the leased a/c from Mint Airways, and Astraeus, and the other 2 were planned to be TCX a/c, I have checked on TC website and our flight is not scheduled to be operated by either the Mint or Astraeus a/c and it states that seeing as our flight is not listed it will be operated by a TCX a/c.
Also, can you please tell me which flight it operates before the Faro.
Thanks a lot
J

Aircraft registration makes little difference as all offer essentially the same interior and facilities. Aircraft are rotated regularly so it could change between now and then. It's one of the TCX fleet. Your flight is the first one of the day so there isn't a flight immdiately before it.

I am looking at booking a two day break to Salou and wondered what aircraft type would be operating the following Thomas Cook flights:-
LGW - REU TCX1224 09.09.11
REU - LGW TCX1283 11.09.11
Thanks for your help.

Mark757,
Thanks Darren,
can anyone tell me if I can take luggage scales in my hand luggage?
Also we flew from Man to Sanford in June flying again 23rd Sept will the IFE be different or will it be the same

thanks
We're looking at flying from Manchester to Sanford, FL in September. Flythomascook are the cheapest, but we're a bit worried about the type of plane/cabin .: leg room/in-flight entertainment using a chartered flight over someone like Virgin or Delta.
Flight ref: TCX 472
What plane is scheduled for this flight? Is it likely to have TV's in the headrests etc?
Many thanks,
James.
Welcome onboard :yup
Luggage scales are fine in your hand luggage. They aren't a restricted item. IFE is changed every 3 months so it'll be different from your flight in June. August-October IFE is listed in the inflight magazine, linked on our What Aircraft? guide (link below).

Welcome onboard

You'll find extensive aircraft information on our What Aircraft? guide (link below). MAN-SFB-MAN (TCX472/3), subject to the dates of travel, are operated by an Airbus A330-300. This is the high density aircraft with 29" seat pitch and IFE screens over the isles. Seat pitch is slightly less than the likes of Delta and Virgin.
Darren
Thanks for your reply
We are due to fly next year on the TCX216 and 217 return. I know it's a long way off but is there any way of telling which type of aircraft this is?
