You'll find a few member opinions over the pages of this thread, and over on Airline Quality. You'll also find aircraft information on our What Aircraft? guide (link below).

Would anyone have an idea of where the ticket office for Thomas cook flights is at Gatwick south please. We arrive there at 3.30 a.m' ish so would be nice if we had an idea of where to go to collect our air tickets. If someone could point me in the right direction when coming off the travelator into the terminal that would be great.
Thank you.
Bloody hell some of them reviews are shocking !!!
Im dreading going on a Thomas Cook plane
Luckily ive booked my seats - the 2 on the left hand side at the back so no stranger sat next to us
I wouldn't believe everything on that website and take a lot of it with a pinch of salt, it doesn't actually reflect the feedback from the on-board questionnaires, hardly anyone goes on there to say how good their flight was and in addition to that some people forget that Thomas Cook is a charter airline and expect things like free drinks and the best food in the world its just not going to happen.
While every view is valid and people opinions are worth noting, you have to remember many will only post a review when they have something to report, eg when things don't go as expected, or better than expected. Given human nature, many are posted when things are below expectaction. That's the case with many review sites and you often get a bias towards poor reviews. The best way is to make you own mind up. Having flown across the pond on many aircraft types with several airlines, Thomas Cook post-seat removal to provide 33" seat pitch are pretty much on par with the likes of Thomson Airways. However I still prefer the ex-First Choice cabins of TOM. The TCX A330's are nice enough though, I'd hapilly travel on them tomorrow.
EDIT: BEfreeTODAY just beat me to it!

Thanks everyone
And the end of the day, the flight is just a means to an end so not the end of the world if its not great!

Hello, I'm I am flying tomorrow TCX119K Birmingham to Sharm El Shek. Could you tell me what aircraft I will be flying on and if there is any in-flight entertaiment? If so what films would be showing? Lastly would you know what meals may be served? Thank You.
BHX-SSH will be a B757 and PSP devices will be available for hire, i posted the movies that are loaded onto these here:
What is the size guide for Thomas Cook Airlines hand luggage?? Bought a Tinkerbell bag for my little one for her hols today - Just hope it fits within the dimensions
Can you clarify that there will be no In-Flight Entertainment (e.g TV screens) apart from the PSP hire and what meals are being served? Many Thanks
You'll find aircraft information on our What Aircraft? guide (link below). IFE was revoked from narrow bodied aircraft commencing in May 2010. The equipmen is still onboard and used for the safety briefing, but IFE isn't shown. As BEfreeTODAY replied above, if you wan IFE, you can hire the PSP devices or take your own.

hippyjak,
Thanks for the super speedy reply - I will get the tape measure out! Fingers crossed
We are flying to corfu from Manchester on 16th August flight no. TCX772K, and have booked the 2 seats right at the very back of the aircraft, can anyone tell me what these seats are like?
The seats at the rear are pretty much the same as those in other parts of the aircraft in terms of facilities. However, being towards the rear, you have the galley and toilets so you may be disturbed by passengers and crew going up and down the isle. You can also feel the sensation of flight a little more being at the extreme end of the aircraft, but it's nothing to worry about. Apart from that, they are as good as any others.

Thanks Darren, the reason we chose those seats is that I wanted a window seat and the wife wanted an isle seat and we are both not the smallest persons and it would n`t be fair to the person sat between us getting squashed, we did consider the emergency exit seats but at £30 per person each way we thought that was a bit steep
we've also booked the very back two seats as we wanted just 2 seats together, instead of the three in other parts of the plane. We're off on 2nd August.
im flying to domincian republic on 13th September,
pre-booked my seats towards rear of plane,
just wondering if there are certain seats that the crew think are not having food etc, ive prepaid for my food, or it was in with the price anyway, and just wondering if it matters which seats i have booked as to whether they think im having food or not?
Welcome onboard

Crew have the passenger manifest that lists those who have and haven't got meals booked so it doesn't matter where you sit on the aircraft. As long as you, or members of your party are sat in your allocated seats with booked meals, you'll get them.
