Hi,

I Booked a 1 week package holiday in April 2010 for a stay in May this year. We have just been told 8 days before we go that the hotel we chose is not available and they have offered a same star hotel in the same resort instead.
The new hotel is still four star but was a lot cheeper when we booked our original holiday and the new hotel is more designed for kids than the couple friend hotel we chose.

Thomas Cook have said the change of hotel is not a major change so we have two choices
1, Accept the new hotel and get no refund as surprisingly the new hotel is now selling for more money than we paid for ours. Or
2, We get our money back and have to hunt for a holiday again from fresh with 7days to go!

If anyone has any advise or help to offer on where we can go from here it would be great. As we don't want to have to start again and wait for a refund to be processed as would need to rebook.
