Thanks Sanji. What I should have said is that the payment was put back into my account from Spain and not directly from my card company.

Oops, I just put the private message on the board and had to remove it within seconds.
That'll teach me to be more careful in future....hope no search engine is able to pick it up.

I had a phonecall from Malaga about an hour ago. It was a follow up call to a short survey I did at the airport She started off by asking if I remembered filling out the survey......um, YES. Then she wanted me to confirm our ages and if we owned our own home, at which point I stopped her and told her I wasn't interested in buying anything. She replied saying that she was going to offer me a heavily discounted holiday- ye right, so why did she want to know if we owned our own home then Sorry mate once bitten, twice shy, bye bye!!

Had a letter from the timeshare people today (Gibraltar address) welcoming us to the holiday Passport club, providing us with our password for their website and asking us to contact them when we're ready to book our free accomodation

I tried logging in, thinking that I'd be told we couldn't enter because we weren't members but no, I logged in fine. Out of curiosity I went to search for accomodation and availability. First I searched Spain and it only came up with 2 dates 17th and 18th June- not much time to get organised and book flights is there? So then I selected All Europe and again it only came up with a handful of dates and all before 23rd July this year. I think we had a lucky escape.

Not sure how they still think we're members though when we've had all our money refunded.

They probably offer anybody the free accommodation carrot you just have the hard sell when you arrive of about 5 hours every day. Remember there is never such a thing as a free meal.

Right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing. Incommunicado between España and Gibraltar, the same thing happens in this country when two departments don't talk to each other, and between you signing and getting your money back, your 'passport' has been going through the system.
