Something i picked up off the DIS is that they have shifted some flights by as little as 5 minutes but have not yet applied a new locator code for these which has locked anyone on these flights out of the system. There is a thread on the DISboards about this subject

I would say that depending on the contract they have with Virgin, the airline booking locator would be known either immediately or within a few days. You will probably have to push them into letting you know what it is. I think also that the booking may have to be "ticketed" or at least e-ticket numbers issued by the airline and added to the booking so even with a locator you might not be able to assign your seats until this is done.

Weve booked with Thomas Cook Signature, flying to Orlando from Gatwick on Good Friday. with Virgin...1245 depart on VS015
Do we have the same service as if we'd booked direct with Virgin, ie, Twighlight Check in and possibly the V room.

Thomas Cook are just the booking agent. You'll get the same level of service as all the other passengers. You won't have V room access as this is only available to Virgin Holidays customers.

Thanks, i dont mind paying for them we normally do, its just i was wondering how quick people thought they sold out on the manchester to orlando flights? & if anybody had any advice on how early to get there to have a better chance of purchasing them? thanks.

You'll probably find frequent fliers / privillidge card holders take priority and are held back in case. I wouldn't check-in especially early (recommended 3 hours prior to departure on long hauls) just to get them because the chances are remote. Worth a try though if you're determined.

Hi, wonder if anyone could advise me of the type of aircraft used by Virgin on their flights from Heathrow to Miami in April. I particularly would like comments on the seat formation and a suggestion of a good seat, without having to pay for extra leg room. This is a birthday treat for my husband, and I would love it to be a comfortable flight on Virgin. Thank you to anyone who has taken the time to read this question.

So you'll need an insider or someone who is travelling to advise exact set-up.
I believe they charge for Emergency Exit Seats these days. Thus I avoid them! But it might be worth you paying for them?

Hi everyone, I will be getting married in Jamaica at Christmas, I will be flying premium economy and my seat is on the top deck. Does anyone know if I will be able to take my wedding dress on board with me and ask the cabin crew to hang it up for me in the closet.

Congratulations! I got married in Orlando & took my dress on board too. Unfortunately, they won't allow your wedding dress to be hung up as it's not allowed. However, you are able to have it in a box & take that on as hand luggage.
I used the empty box company as their travel boxes comply with airline hand luggage restriction sizes, even the Maxi size one that I used Plus I didn't feel comfortable having it in a suitcase placed in the hold (just in case it went to a different destination!)
They were able to store mine in the Upper Class closet, although I'm sure you'd be able to put yours in the overhead locker if you want it near you. They also placed a 'fragile' sticker on it when I checked in.
