You'll know by your 2nd night on board whether you got a good price or not. If there's one thing Thomson 'cruisers' like doing it's asking "how much did you pay"!

Our first proper cruise was last year and we paid £1200 each for 2 week med cruise last Oct in superior inside cabin, both couples on our dining table on the first night (open seating) paid less than us (though they don't know that, at the time I thought it was a nosy question and when asked I just pretended I couldn't remember). 1 pair got the drinks package AND paid a couple of hundred less, though they were on deck 2 (is that even above the waterline :rofl ) the other pair several hundred pounds cheaper but without the drinks package :que

There was only 1 other couple on our assigned dinner seating on night 2 and I kid you not, they paid HALF what we paid (granted, they booked 2 weeks prior to going). I was momentarily sick as a parrot but at the end of the day, when I booked we were happy so what's to complain about.

The Cruise Director had a little joke on the first night. Told everyone on the left of the ship to shout "HELLO" to those on the left. Then told those on the left to shout "HOW MUCH DID YOU PAY" to those on the right. Hysterically apt.

You won't be disappointed with Thomson, I'd use them again in a heartbeat. Embarkation, disembarkation, food, cabin, entertainment, hygiene, service - good job done all round.

Go and have a look at the CruiseCritic site - got a specialised forum for Thomson cruises - busy informative site. Lots of tips you might find useful.

Have a fantastic holiday - and in the words of a guest comedian "you come on as passengers and leave as cargo". I've never eaten so much in all my life.

yeah we went with thomson last year in may round the med for two weeks on the spirit had an excllent holiday - the best ever. liked the whole setup and value for money. i think we paid £2400 then but was in an outside cabin on deck 2. this year and last year we paid the extra £35 to book the cabin too.
we're not brave enough to leave it till 2 weeks before departure date so we're happy with the price really.
i can't wait. yeah i put on half a stone last time - would have been atleast a stone if we hadn't have walked our legs off round the destinations! :D
