Our room on the 13th floor was very spacious and kept clean. Cleaned daily new towels regularly and new linen twice weekly. The view was terrific, the only drawback being a shared small balcony, it appeared to be very recently refurbished. Very unusual to have a nice shower cubicle. A fridge was delivered as soon as requested as there wasn't one in the room when we arrived. The breakfast was super a lovely selection of hot and cold foods, tea coffee and breads.
The pool area was clean and pleasent and the service throughout the hotel was excellent. Particularly the reception staff for whom nothing was too much trouble.
Admittably our room was rated superior but we spoke to other people who hd standard rooms and they were well happy.
The public rooms were clean, the outside and corridors of the hotel were kept clean but were very basic. The lift was quite primative but worked for most of the holiday! There were two power cuts but it wasn't just our hotel. Walking up 261 steps wasn't fun but who cares! You can't blame the Hotel for the power cuts!
Before we went we read some reviews of the Hotel Hawaii and thought what are we letting ourselves in for. After our fortnight there I wonder if they were staying at the same place!!
The hotel is located about 5 minutes walk from the main shopping street and just a few minutes from the beach.

The hotel is basic, just what you would expect from Eastern Europe, but very clean. We found the staff friendly and helpful in particular the pool bar staff.
The pool WAS clean, its only downfall being a few sharp edges on some of the tiles around the edge. This by no means stopped us using it.
Breakfast was unusual to say the least but the hotel were trying to cater for quite a few nationalities. It was edible and the coffee drinkable, what more can you ask?
I would definately visit this hotel again, the only thing I would do differently is book a Superior room. Our room was adequate but quite small. The Superior rooms (we met a family who were staying in one) were HUGE!
Just remember this is Eastern Europe you are visiting and not Dubai. Where else can you go that is such good value for money?? Plus you can't please some people...

We have just returned from this hotel. The swimming pool was so dirty we reported it to the rep but that didnt make any difference, as a result my child has returned home with an ear infection. Another problem with the hotel was you would never have your bed linen or towels changed unless you asked. At breakfast if the waiters smiled their faces would crack!! We did enjoy our holiday but would never stay at this hotel again!!

We found this hotel very basic with no air conditioning which was a bit of a nightmare. The reception areas and bar areas were very clean and had maids on hand at all times for any spillages ect.
The food at the hotel was not that great but we found a great cafe across the road where we would go most days.The hotel is located about 10 mins from new town and about 20 mins from old town which is really good for shopping, there are buses all the time but we found it easier to get one of the hotel taxis (normally Val) who was a great laugh (better to take hotel taxis as the others rip you off).
The hotel staff were brilliant and we could not fault them at all they were very friendly and were always up for a laugh. I would stay in this hotel again because of the great atmosphere. (but needs air conditioning)

We stayed B&B at Hotel Hawaii. The general hotel was clean and tidy but the rooms, and in particular, the bathrooms are not cleaned properly. A pane of glass was broken in our 11th floor room and it took 5 days to fix! The food was basic and breakfast was buffet style and left out not covered from 7am - 10am. The location is ok, 10 mins from New Nessebar Town and about 30mins from Old Nessebar. Most of the staff were friendly although we did encounter a couple who were not (but this could be to do with the language difference and the fact that we couldn't speak much Bulgarian). The hotel management had just started a traditional Bulgarian night which was quite good.
The only reason we would not return is the fact that the hotel is too big and impersonal for our liking but we had no choice when we booked as to where we stayed
