We booked as allocation on arrival and what a result, rooms were large enough for us four, mum, dad ,boy 14 and girl 12 they were cleaned everyday by excellent friendly cleaners.

Put towels in bath if you want them changed, fresh water in fridge every day. Food good standard plenty of it and good variety although same every week with themed nights, waiting staff very friendly and helpful although a bit slow clearing away sometimes.

Hotel located just fifteen minutes from airport and right on beach although the beach is not a lot to shout about it is ok with a few sunbeds. Plenty of sunbeds just back from the beach under trees in the shade and plenty all round the vast grounds. You will never having any problem with getting sunbeds unless you desperately need to be by the pool which was really nice, my kids spent about eight hours a day in it, when they wern't in the pool they were getting pizzas or snacks/drinks from the poolside snackbar.

Pizzas ere coming out fresh all day long and were really tasty. The staff were really nice especially bar staff who always smiled even when under pressure.

The entertainment was adequate plenty daytime activities if required and a bit of fun and games for the younger kids up to 9.30 then there was a show for the adults which was on a seven day basis if you've seen it once you wont need to see it the second week. This was about the only thing that let it down but I might have been spoilt by other hotels where we have been.

All in all a really good time was had by us all especially the kids who made some good friends and were sorry to see them leave and to have to leave others behind.

Would we go there again definately but only for a week plus there are so many different places I would like to see. If you are going have a really good time, and ask RAMSE if his room is still too hot (no aircon).

We were told we were going to this Hotel 3 days before departure by Saga & were a bit wary. However, it was an excellent move. Close to the Airport, we overlooked the old port and saw all the coming & going of the liners etc including QE2.

The Hotel was clean and the rooms cleaned every day. Fresh water in our room daily, a fridge, TV, balcony, great Air conditioning, bathroom large, with an excellent shower.

Hair dryer was efficient and liquid soap and hair/shower gel provided if needed. Large lounge, 3 bars including one near the beach. Best bit was helping yourself to beer, tea, coffee and soft drinks, made it much quicker to get served (pool bar only) Entertainment team were lovely, from Slovakia mainly and tap-dancing their speciality, out of this world.

Kids catered for well and from what we saw, they all enjoyed a safe holiday. Staff friendly and helpful. Food plentiful, large variety, as hot as is practical with buffet bars but we haven't met many better, well run restaurants in all inclusive.

The general manager had the staff well organised and inspected all areas of the hotel daily (or so it seemed). All in all a brilliant experience especially as we didn't even pick it. We have recommended that Saga use it regularly.

The hotel is located just north of Corfu town, set in large grounds (was originally planned to have a golf course, hence the name) on a bit of a headland with excellent views towards Corfu town and across the bay and towards mainland Greece. You can look at the cruise ships coming and going and the plans as they circle to come in to land.

INSIDE:
The entrance to the hotel is spacious and marble like you would expect of any large high standard hotel. Immediately beyond is the main indoor large bar area which has a mix of squashy sofas and tables and easy chairs. An attached outdoor area is equally nice and good for pre-dinner cocktails and sunset watching.
The dining room is large and although a little plain and canteen like is a pleasant enough place. There's also a covered outdoor area which is very nice to eat in but seemed to attract the smokers and made dining a little unpleasant for non-smokers.
The bedroom was of a high standard and large enough for the 3 of us, the bathroom was excellent with a good shower and the rest of the hotel was clean and tidy even if starting to show it's age in a few small areas.

The hotel food was of a good quality and quite a large range was available although many of the dishes appeared a number of times over the 2 weeks we were there. You occasionally had to be a bit inventive but you'd never go hungry unless you were very fussy.

OUTSIDE:
The sea / beach front strip is narrow and mostly shingle or shingle/sand but there is an area of good sand of sufficient size, partly as not all that many people used it whilst we were there. In fact the beach was remodelled whilst we were there after a heavy storm and doubled in size. The sea was clear, warm and shallow for quite a way out so great for kids. There's lots of fish to watch and try (in vain) to catch!

The main pool area is small for the size of the hotel but as the grounds are so big, more people were stretched out on the grassed areas along the sea front. There are ample sunbeds and umbrellas for all with little need to do any early morning dashes to reserve them.
The childrens pool is a quite a way from the main pool which I guess could be great for some guests but a bit of a pain when you want another beer or a nip to the toilet with a desperate child! It's located together with the mini-club (over 5 years only) and playground so you could easily settle there for the day and let the little ones get on with it. Downside, the childrens pool is rather deep for a kiddies pool and has no shade, they could really do with building a shallow toddlers pool with shade.

There's a beach side bar and a larger poolside bar area where lunch is also served. Just beyond is an open air 'theatre' where the mini-disco and evening entertainment took place. It's an excellent facilty.

There's also 2 tennis courts, 2 table-tennis tables, a fenced Archery area, football pitch, volley-ball pitch and boules area. You can use free pedaloes (again over 5's only) with life jackets available on request. Windsurfing is available (not sure if an extra charge or not) but you need to have a certificate with you to prove you can do it, one guest who had been doing it for 20 years was dissapointed not to be allowed. Water skiing is also available as is motorboat hire.

STAFF:
Almost all the staff were friendly and attentive and the reception staff were excellent. A special mention must go to George who was most welcoming and for whom nothing seemed too much trouble. The animation team were hard working and again mostly very friendly but the quality of the evening entertainment wasn't too hot. A bit repetative and you sometimes wondered who's benefit they were doing it for, theirs or yours.
Maybe the excellent team we had our hotel in Rhodes last year coloured our view.

LOCATION:
It's too far to walk into Corfu town but a bus runs past the end of the hotel drive and costs just 0.65cents, or so we're told. We tried to get on it one day and it was so full 2 sailed straight past. The taxi we took instead cost just 8 euros both ways (agree the price before you get in!).
It's probably worth getting a taxi from the airport too, ours back to the airport to leave cost 15 euros and took about 15 mins. You wait that long on the transfer coach just to get everyone on board.
There's an excellent bowling alley across the road if you fancy a change and the gym next door has sky sports on apparantly too if you're desperate.
Other than that there's not a lot else around, we were told there used to be a couple of bars and tavernas close by but they shut down when the hotel went all inclusive.

In summary we had a good holiday despite a few days of cloud, rain and thunderstorms - maybe avoid end of Sept/Oct although the taxi driver said it should be good until November. The hotel was good and satisfied all our needs, it would be hard to find a lot wrong with the place. Would we go back, possibly but there are too many other places in the world to visit to rush back there. Having said that we did speak to a lady who had been going twice a year for 20 years - not too bad a recomendation I suppose.

A very clean and well run hotel, the staff are very friendly. The food wasn't always to my personal taste but I never went hungry.

The pool was a little small especially when the water polo and aqua aerobics are going on at the same time (11.00 sharp). The beach was narrow but the free pedaloes were great for the kids as were the entertainment team always doing something to entertain someone. I often forgot I had kids as they were well catered for and although it was a beach front hotel they couldn't wander very far.
A GREAT TIME WAS HAD BY ALL!

As first impressions are so important you just know you have chosen well when you arrive at the hotel and the check in is fast and efficient with friendly staff. The reception area is grand and like all of the hotel is it is always clean inside and out.

The choice of food is superb and the qaulity and availabilty is the same, going all inclusive there is a real temptation to over indulge as the presentation and locatioin is excellent.

Brochures conflict the distance from the hotel to the town centre, by my very modest hire car it is was a full 3.6k's from the centre to the hotel and not to be walked after a day of over indulging on the all inclusive package. A cramped bus ride will cost a couple of euro's or a taxi will take you for around 7-10 euro's. Always ask how much before you get in the taxi or the price will be more likely ten euro's.

The staff are well trained and there to serve you. From the maids to the receptionists they are just so helpful and friendly and every request is handled to your satisfaction.

The animation team (Massimo, Vito, Valerio, Ramon, Micelle, Anna & Luoise)are just the best in the business devoting their time and energy into providing fun for everyone. They work incredibly hard to provide fun sporting activites throughout the day before putting on some good slapstick fun shows in the evening.

We don't normally go back regardless but this one we will for sure.

Brilliant hotel...

When we arrived at the hotel rececption the hotel looked nice though a bit on the dull side. however as soon as you step outside you think your in paradise!! the rooms are really nice though our balcony was dirty (ground floor). the hotel has a massive indoor bar & seperate restaurant with friendly staff though most of the action takes place outdoor.

The hotel pool and spacious grounds are lovely, right on the beach aswell. plenty of sunbeds around the pool and all around the gardens/beach area! must say if your taking kids they will have an amazing time with all the entertainment with the animation team (thanks to keith, james & nick!!) loads of activities for all ages!! the hotel has its own dance with everyone dances to at certain times day & night which was a good laugh!

After dinner everyone heads to the outside bar. after the kids mini disco theres usually a show, though it was usually watching the animators dressing up as women etc hehe!! if ya young like me you would probably want 2 head 2 the local nightlife. we did walk it but i wouldnt recommend it, the greeks dont seem 2 know what pavements are and certainly dont know how 2 drive without killing someone!! theres quite a few clubs nearby, try 'hippodrome' its a half indoor/outdoor club with a swimming pool!!

Overall...the hotels brilliant...something for everyone...I totally reccommend it!!!

We stayed at this hotel in May/June 2002 and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The exterior of the hotel looks a bit plain but the inside has been totally refurbished and the rooms are probably the best we have ever stayed in. They are still in the process of improving the hotel, and even in the fortnight we were there all the furniture in the bar was replaced! The swimming pool area and pool bar have not been changed yet, but are still fine. Apparently that's their next job! The evening entertainment was not the best we've ever seen, but the animation team work really hard and the kids found the shows hilarious, even if they didn't understand the humour! There's not a lot around the hotel, but the grounds are huge and lead right onto the beach so there's plenty of room for a walk. All-in-all we had a really good holiday.
