We have just arrived home from Malcesine,Hotel Don Pedro.
We were on half board, but we got breakfast,LUNCH,and dinner in the evening. What is more,we got lovely cookies and delicious hot chocolate between 4.00-5,00 p.m.It was soo kind of the people!Actually the lunch was small, pastries with different sauces, some kinda meat, but it was an excellent lunch for us!
Breakfast was so enermous,we had a huge choice from the food.
Cleanliness-i can not remember any moments when we had any problems, this was also excellent, staff washed up the room and bath room every single day, changed towels every day,did the beds,so we were absolutely satisfied with the service.
The pool was quite big, clean, that was okay, too.
The only problem i had that we run outta water 2 times.
When i wanted to take a shower, water was off.No water for 3-4 hours, this was sooo annoying.
There was live music once a week, but we were not interested in it at all.
Staff-everybody was very nice, and in spite of the fact that it is a 3+1 star hotel,it would deserve a 5 star really!
There are 2 tennis courts,table tennis court,minigolf etc...possibilities.
Location-It is not situated right on the shore of Garda Lake, the lake is approximately 2 kms from the hotel.
I signed NO-for would you visit it again?-because I never go back where i spent some time-just because I always wanna see something new-that is the sole reason for it.
The other thing I missed is the air conditioner-in the main building people had it,but we did not pay for the main building, that would have been much more expensive. So the rooms with air co. are more expensive.
`
Entertainment-there is no such thing-maybe the live music once a week, but nothin else. You can walk into the centre of Malcesine, that is the entertainment.
The Football Championship was broadcast day in day out on the telly, and people were soo mad about it.
But-Gardaland is an amusement park on the shore of the lake, you can not miss it out!!!!!That is gorgeous, rollercoasters are huge, safe, and it is worth a visit i am telling you!!The entrance fee for an adult is 20 Euros/person,we went there, because the tickets were included in the price we payed when we booked the hotel.it was well worth, unforgettable.
It was excellent, thanks for the staff!!!!!!!

We were allocated this hotel on arrival ,how lucky we were ! Yes it is a 20 minute walk to center of town but what a nice hotel. The hotel runs an hourly mini bus for 1 euro up untill early evening.
The food was excellent with plenty of choice and even included a free lunch (a nice suprise). Also during meal times a free unlimited bar was on offer, wine, beer, soft drinks etc. Our room was in the main hotel but there were some rooms in the grounds of the hotel. Lovely clean swimming pool in sunshine all day with plenty of sunbeds.
Our room was very nice and modern and kept very clean.
Good bus service and ferry service from Malcesine. There are lovely lakeside walks in Malcesine and the castle there which is used for British Weddings is also worth a visit.
The cable car which is in two stages to the top of the mountain (where there are cafes) is about 15 minutes walk from the hotel on the way to the center and is worth doing(costs approximately
