This is the 2nd time staying at this hotel and was very disappointed this year as the food had gone down hill. We were on the 1st floor and the noise of pepole going in and out of their rooms was awful very hard to sleep at any time of the day or night. The pool was completely freezing there only seemed to be kids in the pool but when they came out they looked very colded even was the sun was out. Wouldnt go back !!!

The hotel was kept clean in general. Rooms were cleaned and towels changed everyday.

The Rooms:
Limited for space although we did have bunk beds, 2 singles beds, a cot and a fridge (30euros for 10 days).

Food:
The food on offer was varied, plentiful and of a decent qulaity with themed nights once a week.

The Staff:
Polite in general apart from one receptionist who miss informed us about keeping on our room on the last day, telling us it wouldn't be a problem and then on a seperate occasion telling us she couldn't be certain until after breakfast on the last day, luckily we were able to keep the room on (29 euros till 6pm) but this did cause undue stress and worry.

Entertainment:
Good for the kids but a little repetative, adult entertainment was different every night with various tribute acts, some of good quality, some of ok quality but in general quite good.

Location:
5 mins walk to beach if that, same to main stretch for busiest bars and restuarants. Supermarket on corner of road. A 10 mins walk will take you to the harbor where you can see how the other half live on their multi million pound yachts and speed boats, this area is also good for shopping and eating out.

Return Visit?
We've put No but to be honest it's not the hotel we wouldn't return to it's more the resort itself that we wouldn't visit again.

Went on my own with 2 children. Met up with some friends. As soon as we arrived at the hotel, we were advised dining hall would soon be closing and we were best to go there before we booked into our room.
We were on 5th floor. 3 lifts. Sometimes a bit slow. Used to walk down (but not up). Room appeared small but was more than adequate for our needs (washing, changing & sleeping).
There was no balcony, which I initially found strange but got used to it.

Location is great beach a 10 min walk. The busy mainroad outside is not a problem. It is a 15 min walk to the port with its lovely restraunts and 10 mins to Alcudias other pubs and clubs.
Hotel very clean maids came in every day changed sheets every 2-3 days.We found ourselves and other guests children had problem with the pool water. They developed a dry skin condition around the face.Mind you they were in the pool a lot(we complained).
Food ok as mentioned before typical Spanish trying to accomodate us Brits. My Wife a veggie for her sins and she struggled for this reason we would not return.Staff great reception allways there to help as we went on a DIY we had no rep contact but if you needed advice Thompsons reps are allways there also.Mixed thoughts on entertainment my 12 year old girl thought it was good my wife thought ok me and my son thought absolute rubbish so we are all in disagreement.Drinks prices are high i thought if you drink day and night in the hotel it will be expensive as pubs are cheaper. But it does say on the front door "no food or drink to be consumed on the premises bought outside" we waited a couple of days an watched other people and it was obvious many people decided to purchase a 2ltr bottle of Fanta for the same price as a small orange and this extended to beer and wine.Like sheep we joined in saved a fortune.Sunbeds in the morning are a laugh they lock up the beds till 8:30am and us brits are all around the pool like vultures waiting to strike theres plenty room for everyone and enough beds also we heard new guests getting up at 6:00am to secure there spot very sad im afraid. overall this hotel is very good and if it suited my wifes needs we would return. As 3 star hotel goes its a winner.

Excellent value for money hotel. The rooms basic but cleaned every day. We hired a fridge for 30 Euro for 10 days. The childrens clubs seemed good, although my son didnt go (he was too busy in the pool). My only grip really was the blessed slot machines, in the hotel. They where expensive and it all became tiresome. The location of the hotel is great, the beach 5-10 min walk. The harbour is well worth a visit or two, this is about 20 mins, go left at the bottom of the road. You must be up early for a space around the pool, beds are plentiful, but you must be up about 7.30 to get a good speck where you can see your kids in the pool. Things get hectic around the pool, and lilos and spray guns are a pain. A solution to this would be a life guard to ensure that these items are stopped going into the pool, and give peace of mind to parents. The food was great, always hot and plentiful something for everyone, and for the complainers of this i would like to know what do you eat at home. Drinks of coke etc are pricy in the hotel but a spar shop 2 mins away solves that one. We saw Thomson reps every day, and always where approachable and helpful. I would deffo go to this hotel again and think all should be applauded for their efforts of ensuring a good holiday.

Have stayed here a few times over the years, but this was the first time without the kids. Over the past 8 years the Manager, Reception Staff, Bar Staff etc.,have been practically the same. They are , pleasant, eager to please, and efficient. The food is always well presented, plentiful, and the restaurant operates efficiently.. they also introduced a special kids area with it's own menu a few years ago, and I see it's still there.
The rooma are small, but kept clean & tidy. I've been in a lot of hotels through work and holidays, all over the UK, Europe, & USA ... but the Delfin Azul is underated as a 3 star ... you won't go wrong here, as it's specifically for families, but the entertainment is for every age group

Location not bad, the food was terrible, the soup was like dishwater every night, typical Spanish breakfast, served English style, the sweets made up for the bland main-course, room was adequate, but the entertainment was brilliant, don't miss the shows.

Our 2nd visit in 5 years to this Hotel, nothing has changed at all. Staff are excellent, Hotel is very clean and so is the resort, food is great but not a great selection for kids but my 2 are very fussy eaters. Entertainment is fabulous every night, Location is brilliant as it's in a quieter area just 5 mins walk to the noisy part, so got best of both worlds. Beach is 2nd to none, clean and tidy plenty of beds with shade and plenty of water sports.

We were a bit concerned about the rooms being too small as we normally go self catering. They are small but do the job as we didn't spend that much time in them anyway.
The first couple of days the pool didn't look too clean(you couldn't see the bottom) but that got sorted out.
Entertainment was very good, proffesional acts on most nights.
Location was ideal, few minutes walk to beach,5-10 mins to lively area,10-15 mins to port area.
We were very surprised how good the food was for a 3 star hotel, our 2 sons have never eaten so much.
The staff in the hotel were excellent, from the reception to the restaurant,to the bar and cleaners, all polite and helpful.
Would definitely recommend the Delfin Azul to anyone looking for a family holiday.
Regarding some reports about noise we didn't think it was that bad, when the entertainment finished obviously you could hear a bit as everyone was returning to their rooms but that was about it.
