We had read reports that because of a disco bar opposite there was a lot of noise at night particularly on the road side of the hotel.

We were given a room on the 1st floor, road side. Straight away we asked for a change but at that time no other rooms were available. I can say that the staff were great and they did asked us a couple of days later if we wanted to move but we decided to stay
put as we didn't feel there was a real problem with any noise.

The rooms were cleaned and towels changed nearly every day. The staff were great and very approachable

Aparthotel Port D`Alcudia
Firt time back to Majorca after 17 years must say was very imprest with accommodation rooms very clean towels changed everyday bar Thursday, staff very friendly good sized rooms, well equipped. TV with BBC,ITV,& SKY. Good entertainment every night 21:45-23:00hrs,Superb pool area.Within easy walking distance of beach, shops & restaurants.
Only faults were room situated at the front of Hotel very noisy all night at weekends as local youngsters use the Pub Disco opposite the hotel, but were able to change room the following day to poolside view. The only other downside was that the large balcony railings was not child friendly (easy for youngsters to climb).

Have just returned from these apartments , and i thought they were fantastic. They made up for the disappinting weather we had, but i think the North of the island escaped from the worst !

You could always get a sunbed even in the afternoon , which was a pleasant suprise as i have been to any other apartments where this is not the case !

They were probably the cleanest apartments i have stayed at too ! They were spotless !

The food was great value especially the breakfast which was priced at 4 euros, which had full english(self service), cereals, fruit. fruit juices, toast and bread, and literally as much as you could eat.

We stayed in the studios which are located on the ground floor overlooking the pool with good size balconies, the 1 bed apts being double the size of ours.

The entertainment was very good , having something every nite and was of good quality, not that "German", and every guest we saw bar 1 family was English.

I am a travel agent and would not hesitate to go back, i am booking to go back next year which is very unusual as i never done that in seven years, i always vow to go somewhere different !
All in all a fantastic holiday, and I also loved the resort, i found that it was very good value!

These are lovely apartments , we had a nice room with a huge balcony overlooking the pool so we had no problem with noise.
This is the first place I have ever stayed where people do not get up at the crack of dawn and reserve sunbeds as there were plenty to go around .
There are plenty of places to eat (and drink) nearby. At the main road by turning right you walk towards the Bellevue end which is very busy with lots of shops , bars and Restraunts by turning left you head to the port end which seems more laid back, you can also walk along the beach to the port ( head there via the shops for perfume, bags etc and stroll back the beach way )There are some nice places to eat out at the port end.
Alcudia is a lovely resort with a beautiful beach and lots to do and I would recommend it to anyone.

Stayed here in mid-August 2002. We were rather apprehensive after reading other reviews but we needn't have been. You MUST make sure you have a high floor (there are 5), pool-facing room though, as those facing the road (at the front) are extremely noisy at night due to the nightclubs opposite. Even poolside rooms can be noisy with plenty of children outside screaming around the pool until the early hours, but it's nothing that a good pair of earplugs doesn't cure!!
When you check in at reception, ask which way the room faces and refuse to take a roadside one, as apparently it's difficult to change afterwards.
Our apartment was particularly clean with a good size balcony. The TV also doubled up as a radio and the air conditioning was very efficient. Bathroom area was clean and modern and towels were changed regularly. Kitchen area was well equipped with cooking rings, fridge, freezer box, kettle, toaster and plenty of crockery and cutlery, although it is a good idea to take a decent can opener with you!
There is an excellent supermarket opposite the entrance. The pool was nice and clean but is not really a "Swimmer's Pool" as it is shallow at both ends and not really deep enough to have a good swim. Ideal for children though. There are plenty of sunbeds for all.
Reception/Bar area is very pleasing, light and airy.
Out of the entrance go straight ahead of you up the road and you will find the Epcot Bar on the left. They have some English staff and serve good food at reasonable prices.
Don't be put off due to the busy main road, it is not really a problem and takes 2-3 minutes to cross, which you only need do if you want to access the beach. For good restaurants turn left at the main road and go towards Burger King which is by a traffic island. Take the right fork towards the marina which is about a 25 minute stroll and worth it. There are some lovely restaurants and shops her including Las Sirenas.
Turning right at the main road, leads you to bustling gift shops and restaurants - a particluarly good and reasonably priced meal can be had at the Gran Mundo Chinese Restaurant.
Overall a very good holiday but it could be a totally different write-up if not in a poolside room and without the trusty ear plugs, so forearmed is forewarned!!

We have been to Alcudia for the past 8 years. We first went half board but self catering is better. Port de alcudia is an alround excellent appartments. We have been back to these appartments 5 times, and each year it gets better!

Although German people do stay there, you don't have to fight for sun beads. My daughter came with us last year for the last time (shes to old now, she says), and she had a great time, with the Irish, German, Welsh, Scottish, and of course the English.

It is situated in the middle of Alcudia, 5 minute walk to the beach, 30 second walk to the supermarket, 15 minute strole to the port, and 15 minute walk to the bellevue.

Go to the allstars pub a must for cheap drinks and top waiter service.

Don't go to menta it's @#%$, and don't go to bell's before 2am as no one is there. A monday night is the best foam party (bring goggles)

Over all a top holiday for all ages!

Excellent location in Alcudia, just right in the middle for either the Port or the shops and bars. Minutes walk away from the beach with a good supermarket across the road from the hotel entrance. Went there with 2 kids aged 5 and 15 months and plenty for them to do. Pool is great but cold and only had a problem getting sunbeds on 1 day. Could do with more kids entertainment at night, adult entertainment doesnt start most nights until 10pm. The only downside to this hotel is that across the road there is a nightclub and if your apartment is on the road side, there can be quite a lot of noise (bottles being emptied into a skip at 5am)Altogether though apart from the noise we had a great time and would go back (to an apartment overlooking the poolside this time!) Satellite TV is in the room but most channels are in German as this used to be a German hotel
