I had the best time of my life! The Bonaire is full of helpful friendly staff who are always on hand if you need help! There is excellant facilities for kids and sports and other things for adults!
I would definatly recommend this to families with children ages between 3-9yrs old!! its in a perfect place and just across the road is the beach front where it is full of resturants and shops! this is the best place you could go!!!

Stayed in Block 5 Top Floor..good view over Cala Bona and Sea...Room very good size....staff very Helpful...nothing a problem.
At 46 eventually learned to swim with the help of John..what a guy...what patience...
All the reps where very friendly...
Great to have real chairs at night and not those cheap plastic ones!!

This is the second time we have stayed at the bonarie and we loved it !!
our two children aged 9 and 5 had the best holiday ever and didnt want to come home.
My youngest child had swimming lessons with john who was great and it was really good value.
The food was wonderful- even for a fussy 5 year old.
the entertainment was so good we stayed at the hotel most nights. 5 year old loved mini mini disco but 9 year old felt he was to old.
Great resturants and cafes around the lovely harbour.
cant wait to go back.

Went to the Bonnaire in July, on a self catering basis but brought tickets from the hotel reception for the meals.We did this every morning and for the evening meal. The food is out of this world anything you can think of it will be there. The location of the hotel is the harbour end of cala bonna but there is a long promanade that has lots of shops and it joins on to calla millor(the next resort. The hotel staff are great they are really helpfull and friendly.
Entertainment is ok if you have young children my 15 year old didnt want to join in but my 8 year old thought it was ok. It starts of with a kids mini disco were the reps dance with the children on stage to all different party songs. then goes on to a prize presentation which is what people have won during the days activities this varies from certificates to a bottle of bubbly (which is nice).then either the reps or a profetional act puts on a show.

The hotel was not a problem, didn't think the location was all that, best to hire a car. Getting up at 7.30 each morning to get a sunbed was a joke, others got up earlier! The pool was great for the kids although always manic. The poolside bar was fine for snacks and very hard working staff day and night. Reps were friendly, my 6 year old loved the kids club and mini disco. Wouldn't return to the Bonaire as i think there are nicer places to go. Really don't think the hotel food was up to much, fine for kids, but wasn't impressed with the adults choice. Some nice restaurants around.

I absolutely loved this holiday for the second time. The entertainment was excelent and the food was great in the reasteraunt and just around the corner there are lovely reasteraunts(where I usually ate) and shops.
The rooms were great and the beds were comfy(which mattered to me). It was a nice 10 minute walk to the sandy beach.The hotel was very clean and there was always plenty to do although everything went quiet after 11.
I recommend this hotel to any families and in the near future I will return again.

The Bonaire is a fantastic place to stay.The hotel was recomended to us by family,the staff were brillaint,both hotel staff and thomson reps.Our children aged 7 and 3 loved every minute of it,they went to the kids clubs a few times a week and got on really well with the reps.the pool is huge and we all spent time in it every day.The entertainment programme was good too no time to get bored as there was always something to do for both adults and kids,or you can laze around the pool and catch up on your tan.The evening shows were good too and kids love it,if you get the opurtunity to go on any thomsons show's (especially the one called pirates) i'd recomend this to everyone it was the best show we've ever seen peopel of all ages will enjoy this without a doubt.To sum it up the place is FAB.

the bonaire is one of the best we have stayed in. in fact we are booked to return next year same room. We are a mature couple and we have thouroughly enjoyed our holiday at the hotel. The children at the resort, and there were alot, never once were a nuisance thanks to the hard work of the kids entertainers. Well done BONAIRE please make our stay as enjoyable next year.

My husband and two children 4 and 18months went to this hotel in May 04, and it was nice and clean, and the staff were very helpful.
The food was, at first, quite tempting, even the children enjoyed the buffet style meals. After a few days, we learned that the evening meal was nice when the restaurant first opened, however, if you got there a little late, then it wasn't so appealing. The kids refused to eat in there after about 5 days, and to be honest it was a relief to go somewhere that cooked the food fresh for you. Plus the kids meals were not good quality. My eldest has an allergy to a lot of artificial colours and additives, which makes her skin come out.
I'd recommend not going half board, especially if you have little ones, as they soon get bored of the surroundings if there's nothing to interest them to eat.

Stayed here over Easter 2004. Hotel is away from the resort centre but its only a short stroll to sea front and supermarkets. Luckily, because it was low season, the indoor pool was open. Just as well because our kids spent nearly the whole week in there, as the weather was frankly cold and not suitable for sunbathing around the outdoor pool. The indoor pool is quite small and was often full of young kids, this fact was obviously lost on some teenagers and even some adults, who insisted on bombing and monopolising the space with ball games.
The rooms are adequately sized and clean. The staff are keen to please. The dining room got very busy at certain times of the morning and evening, so you had to queue. Get there early and there is lots of room. The food was very good with lots of choice, something for everybody.
The entertainment was basic but not poor, but then the hotel was still operating under its winter programme.
The kids enjoyed themselves and I would've been happier if the sun had shone a wee bit more but that was not the hotels fault.
