I was dreading going on this holiday after reading some of the reports that had been logged. We had a fantastic time, the apartments were basic, but as we were half board suited us fine.

I would not of been able to go there self catering with a view to cooking for the family for the whole time as the kitchen was very very basic!

The hotel was very clean, we ate in the Sahara across the road and the food was lovely, although the children were very limited to what they could eat, but my children are quite fussy and don't like fancy foods. They enjoyed the breakfasts as they had plenty to choose from.

The location was excellent, just a short stroll to the beach and plenty of shops along the way. The pools were fantastic a few missing tiles but we all came home without getting cut feet!

The pools were very cold but once you got in it was fine. The Hotel staff and Reps were excellent nothing was too much trouble for any of them. The Entertainment team worked very hard during the day and evening, they were a great friendly bunch, special mention to Claire, Craig and Pippa.

The kids were entertained all day and there was always something going on. The evening entertainment was great, we enjoyed the Quizzes and shows that were put on. Warning -the Country Fun Show was very nerve racking!!

Plate spinning and knife throwing which you thought was going to go wrong at any minute! But it didn't and it was very good.

Manky room, Manky place, Noisy entertainers and Noisy corridors (why do people insist on playing footy on the corridors as there coming back to or leaving there rooms, Idiots).

Don't expect any sleep during the hour's of darkness.(Unless you can sleep through shouting, swearing, banging about the corridors and screeching). Top mark's for the worst place we have ever been.

Would we return? Not if they paid us!!!
P.S. if you do end up here the beach is still great.

Stayed at the Fiesta Tropico on a self catering holiday for 2 weeks. Rooms basic but comfy, well equipped. Bed linen only changed once while we were there which isn't very good! Location really good, 5 minutes from beach and only 2 minutes from shops! Hotel staff very helpful and friendly, Thomson Reps try really hard to do a good job, but entertainment was very basic and repeated in the second week!! Although i wouldn't visit this particular hotel again, i would not hesitate to visit Magaluf again as it has a lot to offer with a beautiful beach and plenty of nightlife for all tastes.

I read this site before travelling and was a little worried about all the reports that said it was noisy, we have 2 year old twins and it would have been terrible if they had been up all night.

When we first got there we were placed in a room directly above the nightly entertainment...I thought we had arrived in hell, but as soon as we spoke to the staff, they moved us to a lovely quiet room at the other side of the complex, they really were lovely.

What more can I say than that we had a fantastic holiday and had not been back home a week before we booked for next year.

All the staff were brilliant, our little girls absolutely loved the mini disco, we are still playing the CD we bought now!

Tom Browns is fantastic, wonderful food, colouring activities and highchairs for the kids and lovely friendly staff.

We can't wait for next September!

Well what can I say Mmmmm, this is now the 3rd time we have been at this hotel and what a fantastic place, this is for kids of all ages.

We have never had any problems with cleanliness. Bedding changed twice weekly, rooms basic but overall comfy as you only slept in your room you were never in it during the day.

Hotel location - You couldn

I stayed in the Fiesta Tropico, this was a pleasant hotel, was exactly what it said in the brochure, little bit noisy because of the sahara across the road which most of the youngsters seemed to of gone but we were warned about the little bit of noise. I had a really good holiday here the entertainment for the children was really good and also entertainment in the evenings was good for the older range for example one night they had duke's dukebox which was a quiz about music of all earas so that was nice for all, myself i enjoyed mr n miss fiesta i though it was really funny and one night there was singers singin songs from the 60's and 70's which was nice for the parents. The fiesta fun entertainers were brilliant for the children espeshaly craig i think he really tired his best, i mean dont get me wrong they all did they do really work hard but he was really encouragin and got the children going, also hes my cutie ;) i was gutted i never got to say good bye to him as he was over in he sahara doing a show the night i left, but hopefuly i will see him next year if he is there as i would love to go back there.

we stayed in the hotel tropico in magaluf and we were not too happy about the holiday. The first room we had was overlooking the sahara and was very noisy up to about 6 in the morning. We got moved to a pool side room which was even worse!!! The pool was very dirty and many tiles missing resulting in cut feet and hands. The maid service was not up to standard and they never cleaned more than twice. On the whole we were very disappointed with this hotel but the reps made a big effort and worked very hard. Chris gave us some big laughs and without some of these reps the holiday would have been even more disappointing than it was. We will not be going back.

just got back from the fiesta tropico and had a brilliant time. the hotel was lovely and clean. the maids cleaned the rooms 2 times a week and did a very good job at keeping the rooms tidy for us. the location of it was excellent because it was close to all the nightlife of magaluf. the staff there were brilliant especially 'chris' who was absolutely hilarious.5 break ins in one night so hire a safety deposit box for valuble things straight away.

the pool was very big and clean.in some places there were tiles missing from the floor but werent dangerous in any way. getting sunbeds was good for people who get up early but after 9oclock no chance of getting them.

entertainment was good during the day. water aerobics and loads more. on a night good for kids up until 90clock, mini disco and bingo. good adult entertainment too, hypnotist, dukes jukebox, grease and mr and mrs fiesta. all good fun.

We arrived at the Fiesta Tropico at 6 am in the morning and were greeted by some pretty loud noises to say the least from shouting, whistling and screaming people coming from the BCM Dance Planet Night Club that is only about a 100m away. The hotel is in a pretty good position for the beach as it is only about a 5 minute walk away. The hotel staff are not too friendly to be honest, we found them to be pretty bad mannered and underhand. The entertainment for the children is very good and Chris is a credit to the company, if it wasn't for him it would have been a very long 2 weeks. Needless to say we wouldn't visit this hotel again as we found it both dirty and pretty unkept. We only had our apartment cleaned twice during the fortnight there, our bedding changed once (the sheets were ripped) and the floors of the apartment were never cleaned by the cleaner once, all in all it was pretty dirty. Also if you are taking children to this complex, please be careful when you are at the swimming pool, we all cut our feet on the swimming pool bottom, as the tiles have lifted and the sharp grouting is left to cut your feet, I would say that the majority of people ended up with cut feet whilst we were there, I reported the problem to the main Rep, but to say she wasn't interested would be putting it mildly.
On the subject of safety, please ensure you get a safety deposit box in your room (safe), whilst we where there, 15 apartments got broken into and ransacked, a number of the apartments were entered using a key as they were found to be locked up again after the event! The police came but were not interested and Thomsons didn't want to know either, I asked why they hadn't let us know about this problem of break-ins as it turned out they had been going on for a very long time, and I was greeted by, What, and have 2000 unhappy people on my back. I would have expected the reps to be honest with us at the arrivals meeting and let us know about the safety issues of the pool and the burglaries, needless to say, neither were mentioned by the Reps.
