This hotel is screaming for a refurb, its stuck in the 80s decor.

Rooms basic but clean, food yuck. Three good nights out of seven. One night they served up mussels soup & rabbits legs in the menu, lots of english complaining to the rep about the food upon which she just gave the same answer to all which was "nobody else has complained".

I found they mainly catered for the many Spanish that frequently stay there,1st day there, had a fall out with one of the waiters which we nicknamed hitler, told me I could,nt drink "bought" bottled water round the pool area. I complained to the rep, I said I could understand buying alcohol from the outside shops & drinkin it within the hotel grounds was a NO NO ,,,but i draw the line when it comes to water on which u need to drink gallons a day. She just looked at me & shugged her shoulders. She may well have said COMPUTER SAYS NO!

If you have children dont bother theres nothing at all for kids at the hotel Tobago, apart from a round 8ft kids pool.

Hotel is in a brill location 20 secs from beach 5 mins from the main strip, I wouldn't go back here again unless the food vastly improves & there is more for kids. Shame because its in a fantastic spot!

I stayed at this hotel from 11th April. The hotel room was basic but clean and all public areas were very clean (except for the pool toilets... phew!!)

The food was edible but not great, breakfast was better than the evening meal. We ended up eating out after a few days because it became a bit mundane.

The views from this hotel are stunning however that is all that can be said for it.

The rooms are basic, beds uncomfortable, staff rude,
entertainment rubbish, pool dirty and food well we didn't even go there. Just the smell coming from the restaurant each night made us feel physically sick.

Majorca is such a beautiful island but if you don't have a good base it spoils the holiday. We are going back in August of this year to The Rosa Del Mar which from first impressions looks lovely.

If you visit Palma Nova be sure to go to Robinson Crusoe

I must say I loved this hotel. The food was good for a 3* hotel. You had to eat breakfast from a tray, it was a little like being at school. The evening meal gave a good choice. My mum who is 65 had never been abroad before found enough choice, I would say she is a fussy eater.
The view over the bay was amazing, well worthing asking for a sea view.
Some of the staff were a little rude, but not too bad.
Didn't stay in the hotel for any of the entertainment, did seem geared to the Spanish guests.
Before I went I read some reviews about this hotel, the one thing that came across was the noise so I took some earplugs, I am glad I did. The walls were very thin, I could hear the man snoring next door.
The last night it was very windy, the balcony doors rattled really loud kept my mum & sister awake all night.
It's a lovely hotel but quite noisy.

Personally I loved the food!!! But I was the only one out of everyone we spoke to!! If your a pasta, olive and mussels lover then you'll be stuffing your face!! Otherwise u'll be living off chips n a rock cob! Crossiants are nice for breaky..but only got up in time once! Our maids were cool and managed to make our room look half decent every day! The receptionist guy through a major mardy when we turned up with 10 ladz to smuggle in our room one nite, and when we left our CD player on by accident... all night playing Christina Agularia on repeat!! We didn't see n e hotel entertainment so I can't really comment?!!

If you are looking for a base, which offers the best position in the resorts of Magaluf & Palma Nova, this is it. Situated in Terranova, bang in the middle of both resorts, it takes 30 seconds to walk to the first Palma Nova beach and 5 minutes to the Magaluf beach. We have just returned, having stayed the first two weeks in June and the hotel was 75% occupied by Spanish, French and other Europeans. Nothing wrong with that at all. Food was good, suited us as it was not the ususal chips with everything. Great pool area, although there are no matresses for the sunbeds. Most people bought inflatables.(which are very cheap). The bar area is nothing special and the evening entertainment is average. The views from the hotel on the beach side are brilliant. Ask for a room on the fifth floor or higher. The rooms are large and the airconditioning is excellent, once it started working. The staff are friendly and we will definately use this hotel again when we return to Palma Nova. One thing...It may be cheaper to arrange your own flights and hotel accomodation. We paid

Have just got back from the tobago and for the most it was FAB. It sits almost right on the beach in the torrenova part of magaluf/palma nova with fantastic views over the palmanova bay

Rooms
Quite small if you have a family, we had three beds in one room which was hectic at first but got used to it. The aircon didnt work for us but was fixed after a short call to reception. Each room has own balcony which looks directly over the beach, only negative is that balconies are separate by frosted glass only so you can see what your neighbours are up to. Was on the 2nd floor but still had great views

Food

Mixed opinions really, there was a huge selection of everything but mainly catered for spanish tastes which does not suite the 'Macdonalds' type of person. I stayed half board and there was chips with everything, even breakfast

Entertainment

Absolutely terrible, everynight was a loud disco with one night of flamenco dancers, didnt suit me but would suit some. Hotel was quite empty which didnt do much for the atmosphere, best enterntainment was in the resort itself

Pool

Good size with plenty of sunbeds when we were there with very view being reserved. No soft mattresses to lie on though. Many pool isnt child friendly as shallowest end is 1.5m and deepest is 2.4m, there is a small pool for children but only about 6 feet wide (no joking)

Staff

quite friendly waiters but are a strict on making sure you have your dining card before entering the restaurant. Reception was okay but didnt use them much

Overall cant complain, booked this holiday diy, flights through easy jet, accommodation through alpha bbeds, the whole week half board for three of us including flights only cost

After reading a few mixed reviews, I wanted to say what a great time we had at the Tobago.

A group of 17 on a hen weekend & a fab time - no complaints with the food. We thought that if the locals went there to eat, it had to be half decent, the restaurant area was huge. The bar area was clean & big - not over the top & bar staff very generous with the measures!

We went in April last year & it was great weather so sat around the pool. We weren't there during peak season though, so accommodated well but not sure what it would be like during the high summer season (although I am going again (24/6/05) so will post again on my return).

Fantastic location - a stones throw from bars which stay open till 4am. Internet access in the bar area if you need to be technical abroad & lovely large reception area.

All in all, we had a fab time at that time of year.

Also, great response to a a medical emergency - one of the girls got really sick and was taken to hospital, the hotel staff were extremely helpful getting a doctor in to see her. The room accommodated 3 of us in each and it worked out fine, no problems at all. Don't know about air conditioning as we didn't use it at that time of year.

My boyfriend went in May 2005 with a group of 18 others for the weekend - they all loved it too. No complaints! - (mind you, give a man a bed and a toilet and he is happy).

Travelled out 01/01/05 arrived at hotel 11am straight into room no problem.

When we read the reviews about this hotel we nearly did not go, what a load of rubbish was written!!
Food; ok so its a spanish owned hotel and things are a bit different, but food is plentiful and loads of choice, smoked salmon.prawns, loads of chips, fish, pork, you name it it was on sometime during our visit.

Staff; all very polite and helpful had loads of laughs with Rafael in the bar,get on the shorts the measures
are huge not pricey either.

On departure a few brits moaning but what do you expect from us,you can not please all the people all the time,in our view good standard hotel,in an amazing position with views across the beach,so dont be put off by what you read(even the Record rental girl sniggered when I said we were staying at the Tobago).
