We are just back from the princessa playa in cala'n bosch, so for those going here are my thoughts...
Hotel is excellent...
Beach was OK but very small ...
Resort is OK.
It all depends on what you like but I have to say I cant imagine that there is much to criticise about the hotel. We had an apartment here, which although when you walk in looks very small, but is actually well laid out, as the small room is just the lounge, and we hardly used that. The bedroom, kitchen and bathroom were all fine and were spacious at the expense of the lounge. The hotel itself was excellent and the staff who work there were first class (excludnig Cosmos staff who quite honestly were a waste of space). My 5 year old loved the Spanish kids club but said in the Cosmos club they just sat there! Mind you it was 2 17 year old guys who probably just couldnt be bothered to do much!!
Everything about the hotel was good, the entertainment, the bar staff,the reception (didn't go mad on the food) but this hotel was better than the Playa Mar in Pollensa, and the Bonaire, in Cala Bona, as a comparison for those that have been.

The resort of Son Xorigeur was nice although 20 Euros for 2 sunbeds on the beach seemed pretty hefty to me!!! (It is 17 Euros in Calan Bosch so I guess you have to pay about the same anywhere). Generally speaking the Euro seems to have made everywhere very expensive, and this is no exception. Shopping is expensive (70p for 1 go on there arcade games (which are everywhere and the kids want to go on them all the time!!), up to

Best holiday I have ever had made lots of friends and the hotel entertainment was brilliant. The staff where great but I thought some of the reception staff were a bit snotty to children and teenagers.The waiters do an amzing job and are a credit to the hotel. cosmos reps great especially Ade Beckie Danny Lizzy and Vicki. They work amazingly hard. All the kids clubs are great there are 4 in all and I was in the Base club. Great food and the maids are very good and helpful. An all round great holiday.

We stayed twice at these apartments with teenagers as there was a teen zone (or something similar). Not that much was organised but it got the kids together then they went off and did there own thing mostly. Fantastically clean pool and very large. As others said waiters were very hard working and friendly.
Food was very good at the hotel and you could have a meal when you wanted.
Entertainment was quite good on some nights, but the adult stuff didn't start until late after the kiddies disco.
Rooms were a bit small but comfortable.
Son Xoriguer beach close by okay but Cala bosch better.

We stayed in the Princesa Playa in July last year and had a fantastic time. The accommodation, location, food, facilities (especially the pool) and staff were all first class. It is arguably the best hotel we have staying in abroad. The only criticism would be that older 'teenage' children can be noisy running around the corridors late in the evening when you have toddlers but this was by no means an everyday occurrence

i have stayed at the princesa playa in menorca nine times and i will never bore of it!! It is the most fantastic place for families and other families meet up year after year!!!

Stayed here in June 2002. Very nice hotel, with nice pool area for children. Good kids clubs both cosmos & hotel. Rooms very clean with good maid service. Rooms not the biggest I have stayed in but hay you wont spend much time in the room. Nice little beach just behind the hotel(50 yards via back enterance) with a few cafes/bars plus a supermarket. The main resturants at the resort are loacted around the harbour which is a fair walk. But the distance from the harbour brings the peaceful surrondings so what you lose you gain.
Overall I would recomend this place to friends with children and consider staying there again.

This hotel is GREAT!!!
I would deffinitly stay here again. The pool is out of this world. absoultly amazing. the food was wonderful and the kids had a great time.
the entainment was good showing plays like lion king.
You would be mad to miss a chance of going to this hotel!

over all the fortnights holaday was great,9 of us including 4 kids,The food was excellant,something for eveyone.the location was nice and quite and safe for a afterdinner walk.the hotel staff were excellant and very frendly,excluding the entertainment staff on the chuldrens side which i thought were poor.the evening entertainment was ok but not brill!.The pool was fantastick and great fun.the poolside snack bar good and the frendly staff great with kids.the cosmos kids club was poor and i hope its better when we visit again.

We stayed at the Hotel Club Princessa Playa in Cala'N Bosch, Mencora in May 2002.
Overall it was a fantastic holiday and to be honest we didn't want to return home. The hotel was only two stories high, very clean and frienly staff. Particulary the waiters who work in the bar and restaurant and the two ladies who worked in the shop on the hotel premises. Our room overlooked the pool which was cold in May but wonderful all the same, the children loved it. The snack bar served tasty snacks if you didn't want to move far from the pool. The entertainment at night was alright and the acts fininshed about 11 o'clock.
It is the quietest hotel we have ever stayed in for night life finishing early but with young children we found this an advantage. We found the food to be of a high stantard and put on a few pounds in weight. Altogether a holiday that the whole family enjoyed, and have already booked to go back in May 2004.
