Bahia Feliz is a nice hamlet with 10 bars/restaurants. We ate/drank in most of them, but found ourselves longing for the variety/quality of Del Ingles.

Ok for a long weekend only!

The resort itself is a bit limiting as there really isn't anywhere to walk. The bus and taxi service is excellent during the day to the main resorts but we like to have a wander around the shopping/bar areas after our evening meal and there is nowhere to go here. The beach is fine after you get across the stony bit. The sea was lovely and although the sand is black it's very fine and soft. (From the hotel garden you can leave your flip-flops on the stones while you go for a paddle!)

Small amount of shops/resturants. Dont expect to be able to walk very far!!

And watch out for the Anfi free trip to the "fantastic beach" its a time share ploy.

Bahia Feliz is a small village resort 8k from Playa des Ingles.

There are 4 supermarkets that open early. Fresh rolls can be purchased each morning, cheese, ham, drinks, etc, but fresh fruit and veg is scarce. There are just 8 restaurants all selling steaks, pizza, pasta etc; 1 tapas bar and 1 Chinese. This is inadequate for those self-catering and not to a brilliant standard.

Our best find was the Scandinavian coffee house, great for hot drinks, breakfasts and lunch, and had internet access.

Fortunately, buses and taxis are abundant for a quick trip to Playa des Ingles for far more restaurants, shopping and good beaches.

Bahia Feliz was basic but clean with a good selection of restaurants. But not the best place for those party anilmals out there. Although Playa was not far in a taxi and only cost 5 euros. The beach was very volcanic and rocky as you would expect. However there was a manmade beach section for those who just like to sunbathe and not partcurly swim, not ideal for thos with young kids (the beach that is).

The location of the hotel is not brilliant but you can easily catch a bus to San Augustin for 4 Euros, Playa del Ingles for around 7 Euros or Puerto Rica for around 11 Euros for a family of four,- note though they do not do return tickets you have to pay one way each time and the bus drivers are helpful. You can get a taxi also from the reception of the hotel with ease.

We found the prices quite high in the hotel and surrounding shops! As soon as you get to Playa del Ingles you realise how much more you pay to be situated in a hotel only resort.

The beach is nice if a little rocky and is quite dangerous when the tide is in for little ones.Beware there are theives there who will take anything including your shirt if you leave it on the beach and you have to pay for sunbeds there.

We had a chance to check out the medical centres there also (our son fell in the hotel and hurt his arm) and they are polite and helpful BUT i must add that you will have to pay they are all private and it is not cheap - kids come first though and thank god for credit cards. They do have document everything and will give you full receipts for insurance.

Bahia Feliz is quaint, but after 2 days you wll be bored and yearning for civilisation!

The resort has all the basics but not much else, although it is easy to get a bus or taxi to nearby Playa del Ingles or Maspalomas. There is nowhere to go for a real wander so you do feel a bit claustrophobic there.

The beach is fine for swimming, but not small children, and the sand castle potential is poor. Excellent wind surfing.
We would recommend a taxi trip to Aqualand if you want a day out as it is one of the best water parks we have been to, but Sioux City was very expensive and the BBQ food was dire!

Very very clean hotel and the cleaners of a very high standard. They are very polite and always willing to help you out! The beach is not a real beach but some sea with stones!
