We found the hotel to be clean, the food was fine, the hotel staff friendly and helpful and the entertainment's team were hard working, amusing and displayed a professional approach to their work.

The only complaint we have is the lack of air conditioning throughout the hotel, we had a particulary hot week and this made sleeping extremley uncomfortable. I would definatley agree that this hotel could do with a makeover sooner rather than later.

We have been on a number of all inclusive holidays in Tenerife and found this to be no worse or better than any of the others. We met some great people at this hotel and had a fantastic time. At the end of the day it's what you make of it.

well i travelled with my parents and i am only 16 and as no one else has reviewd this hotel from a teenagers pov i guess i will.
i came back this morning!! we had a VERY early flight home.
to be perfectly honest i do not see why no one likes this hotel. i loved the food, they catered for all cultures and i thought it was really nice.
the hotel is layed out well, and the pool is clean and although i agree it is still a little too deep at the shallow end, it is very nice.
the entertainers there were absolutely fantasic, one of them, becki, i knew from school which was a coincidence but we became good friends and shes a fantastic singer. as are hayley, kieran and matt (matt i must say is very very good looking when he takes his glasses off...!) and they do a wonderful job there.
every day there is so much to do, each day starts with water aerobics and they do things like rife shooting, football, boules, water olimpics, bingo, poolside quiz, tennis, killer pool, killer darts, golf and so much more EVERY day. you dont have to participate in any of it if you dont want to, or you can do everything!!
i loved it personally and made so many friends (hey hannah, laur and porter, john and bex, becki and pete, natalie, leanne, jeff and sally, and anyone i forgot!) but i would recommend to keep all of your valuables with you because my camera got stolen with my memories on :(
i would rate ocean club 8/10!!

Me and my boyfriend went for a relaxing holiday and that is what we got apart from all the bingo and quizzes constantly around the pool. The food suited us and we well got our money's worth out of it but if you have a dodgy stomach do not touch the beer or you'll be on the toilet for the majority of the next day.

Our hotel got cleaned just about everyday and i havent got any complaints about the cleanliness but i have a complaint about the plug sockets and phone line as they were just hanging off the wall good job we didnt have any kids as this was very dangerous. The hotel was really in the middle of nowhere but we didnt want to go out on a night time as we were all inclusive and be grudged paying the money so dont really have any complaints there!

Hotel staff and Reps didnt really want anything to do with anyone i got really burnt which i know is my own fault and i got blisters all over my chest, when i went to get advise off the skincare expert (rep) she basically said her sun cream would do the trick which would only cost me 34 euros (only......i nearly passed out) As you probably guessed i didnt buy any and my blisters just went.

Entertainment was good if i was 5 but as i said before we went away to relax so we weren't bothered about the entertainment. 3 0 Aye 30 blind 30 i will never forget that saying!

We met some really nice people (Paul, Angela, mark, kathleen a few more but im really sorry must of been drunk cos i cant remember your names but hi anyway hope you's are ok) and if it wasnt for these people then we wouldn't of enjoyed it half as much!

Returned from this all inclusive hotel three weeks ago and just have to report that it is fantastic!! Okay the food is average but the drinks are free flowing. What makes this hotel are the amazing entertainers and kid clubs staff! They excel in everything they do whilst working but also they go out of their way to see if everything is alright whilst out of hours!! They are brill, they made our holiday one to remember. Keiron, Matt, Hayley and Beccy are a great they work well together to ensure everyone are making the most of their holiday. As an extra bonus Keiron is a finalist from 'Pop Idol' and has an absolutley wonderful voice. We all had a fantastic time (Sam&Kev especially). Cheers Guys XXXXXXXXXXX

Despite the views i have read, i still would go back to this hotel. The food is not fantastic but we never went hungry (6, 9, 10, 27, 28, 50, 51, 55, 59) The pool is clean the apartments are in need of tarting up but are very clean. there were a few complaints but nothing more than you would get in any hotel, People moan, its a fact!!!

Ocean Club catered for all types of holiday maker. The rooms were suitably appointed & very clean. The food was both plentiful and well prepared with a good choice that varied each day. The location was quiet but only 10 mins FREE BUS RIDE from the bustle of Los Americas. Ideal because you were not kept awake all night. The staff and tour reps were plentiful and helpfull. The entertainment was excellant and varied to suit all tastes. Van, Keiran, Mat & Hayley were excellent in all that they did working very hard to ensure the stay was great. Only bad point was the swimming pool is far to deep and only has ladder access, few people used it. Sort the pool and you would have a 4 Star Winner.

Stayed in room 108.Ground Floor. Patio window had dodgy lock. View was of cranes & Buildings sites, Very noisy.People were complaining nothing was done Reps fobbed you off or talked behind your back!!

Dirty nappies on top of the roof of the reception!! Yuch!!
Plug sockets fell out of walls with live wires hanging out, Taps came off in your hands, glass on floor, towels hardly ever changed, if changed, old ones hung back up.Cigarette burns in bedding, ripped curtains. No air conditioning, you had to sleep with window open not very safe, very cramped room.Black, dirty marks all up the walls.

Children not allowed in pool with t-shirts even though
it was 106degrees,no park for children not alot to do. Scuba divers with fins on in pool under you when swimming.very dangerous! No inflatables allowed in pool & no balls.

No Beach..Need to book yourself on courtesy bus a day in advance to escape.

Food was repetitive, reheated next day or chopped up & used in another dish.Bacon was burnt!!

Entertainment was ok, but at 11.45pm,Manager would make you pour your drink from your glass into a paper cup & tell you to go back to your room. Lights were switched out on the entertainment balcony so that you had no choice but to go back to your room. Settes in reception were grubby & broken.Don't sit on them in White clothes!!

This hotel needs a new Manager & needs re-furbishment completely!!

Hi to Julia & Barbara thanks for keepin us entertained.

Last minute booking.Found this hotel to be well past its sell by date. Rooms were clean but needed tidying up ie: a lick of paint, tiles replacing etc.Rooms have no air conditioning, unable too leave patio door open due too traffic noise and builders starting work very early. Food was plentiful but very basic. Difficult to establish vegetarian meals if any(could be remedeed with a v on the card).Location poor no beach, looking out on cranes in all directions. Staff & reps very helpful & friendly. There is nowhere to go for a quiet drink & chat with friends except the terrace(but you still have too speak up to be heard) or reception(who wants to sit in reception?).You can go to Beckhams or the three horseshoes, but your supposed to be all inclusive. This really is Butlins in the sun.

Just returned from Tenerife where we had a very brief stay at the Ocean Club. On arrival we were put in room 120 which was absolutely disgusting!
The patio door was half open and the lock was broken.
The bath was full of cigarette burns, the sheets were covered in dirt, the floor was covered in cigarette ash, plugs were hanging off the wall and it was basically filthy.

The reps were awful and were slagging other customers off to us and trying to fob us off at all times. We demanded to be moved but they 'allegedly' couldn't move us until the next day.

We dared to try the dining room the next morning where i fell as water was all over the floor where the staff had been cleaning - the rep laughed at this and didn't even ask if i was okay.

Thankfully we left then and were transferred to somewhere nice as if i had stayed there i think i would have been suicidal by the end of the week.

To celebrate Julia's 50th we needed to "chill" out in the sun away from stresses and family. We were lucky we had a fabulous room (No.211) which had 2 balconies overlooking the pool, and very spacious and clean. Towels changed as promised and our room was kept spotless!

We enjoyed the food and felt that there was a good choice - even though we didn't have children with us we saw a great choice for the kids! and I took advantage everyday of the non-stop supply of ice cream!! yum!

Staff in all areas very helpful and friendly. Thanks Antonio for our "extra" drinks ahem! Thanks too to Van, Kieran (Pop Idol contestant) and Hayley and Matt. These kids are SO talented they should be discovered as entertainment top class!!

Pool is deep at the shallow end, Julia a non-swimmer did get in to cool off but at 5' 3" it came to her shoulders so only let your kids in with armbands or rings if non-swimmers. Kiddie pool at side but not very big! Plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas-you need them as one day it was 114 degrees! Roof sun-terrace lovely (though very very hot!!!) adults only (no umberella's though) and you do need one up there. Showers to cool off and sauna if you want to use it.

Food, bottled water and ice cream available up there too. Give it a try nice and peaceful!.... but beware you may cook so plenty of sunblock on! Thanks to Ocean Clubs own skin specialist Michaela who was on hand to advise about sun protection and kept reminding us throughout the day to protect ourselves especially the kids. Pool not big enough for blow up toys for kids really so can understand the ban as for no t.shirts to be worn - didn't know this myself but wet t shirts on kids in the sun is a no no as may dry in the suns heat whilst they are in and out of water and t.shirt could stick to the skin! So you have to have a supply of dry t.shirts ready to change. Kids club seemed popular as were the trips out.

There was this rule of NO music etc after midnight but felt the rule of moving you off the terrace outside whilst finishing your drinks or having a chat with fellow holidaymakers was a bit stringent and over the "top". Couldn't see the logic in this as many then went to their rooms and were noisier!!??? or went across the road to other hotel where Ocean Club residents were allowed (you had to BUY your drinks there though) Apparently it is NOT the hotels rule as an old established resident put in a writ to have no noise after midnight in Calloa Savaje and it was passed by the powers that be! Sorry folks but after a hard day sunbathing, swimming, eating, drinking and enjoying ice-cream we were glad to get to bed and have a good nights undisturbed sleep (we are oldies though!)

Going back the the entertainments, have a go at killer darts and killer pool it is great fun and gets you out of the sun for a bit. I haven't thrown a dart for years but managed to come 2nd with best out of three darts and knocked all the men out ha! Pool too, just whack the balls with the cue best out of three goes so no professionals here then!

The venue for the entertainment was very poor. Room had BIG pillars situated throughout the room and depending where you sat it was impossible to see the entertainer without craning your neck if able to see at all. Ocean Club can't you make the pillars thinner down the middle. I expect they are part of the hotel's structure but if you thinned them down left wide bit at the top and the bottom - could even have a table fixture round the wide bit at the botom at least the audience could see the acts from all angels then as the entertainers each night were very good and professional. Because you couldn't see the acts from different seating areas you tended to chat to fellow holidaymakers therefore making it noisy and appearing rude whilst the act was on because you were chatting. We only chat cos all we could see was the damn pillar in front of us. So ok food for thought - for next season Ocean Club - think THIN NARROWER - pillars. Come on Van get the room sorted as it is a shame as talent viewing is lost because of this building oversight.

I know some of the hotel rooms are grotty, we were lucky, so it is in their best interest to smarten up those that are not up to standard - so Ocean Club take your complaints seriously and First choice the rooms NOT overlooking the pool should be at a cheaper rate if possible. All in all for "US" anyway it was fine. It was so friendly that we made lots of friends that week, amongst the staff and fellow holidaymakers so thanks to Fran, Stu, Larry, Anne, Chubby and his wife, Paul, Laura, Zoe and Loren, Kathy and Eddie, we really had a good laugh bucks fizzing round the pool with Hotel Champagne (plastic cups of course) you made our holiday!!

Give the hotel a try it is not all bad honestly!!
