We have done all-inclusive many many times and so have a good idea of the standards to expect. This hotel is the most run down and shabby I have ever experiened. The standard of the furnishings in the rooms is poor, microwave didn't work, front door only opened a quarter of the way then jammed, toilet didn't flush, no hot water, lights either didn't work of only intermittently.
Cleanliness of rooms was a joke, dried blood on shower curtain, bath and toilet badly stained and ingrained dirt on almost every fixture and fitting.
Standard of food wasn't that bad, but very repetative and limited choice even by all-inclusive standards. Pool area dirty and run down with people drinking and smoking in the pool in full view of staff.
Staff miserable and overworked, half the entertainment crew walked out halfway through our stay so hardly any activities during the day for the kids. Evening entertainment was shocking and on our last day the head of entertainment fell out with a guest on stage and then tried to stove his head in with a fire extinguisher. You couldn't make it up!

We are not snobs and never expect too much from all-inclusive but this place sets new records for low standards.

we saved up all year for our family holiday to be very very let down. The hotel was dirty, the entertainment was poor.the food was bland.my children who are ages 5 and 6 live on chips for the full fortnight. The breakfast was the best meal there.we moved rooms after several days of trying because the bed setee and the pull out bed were not good enough to sleep on and they were covered in stains that you could only leave to your own imagination. In our second room our bath had a great big rusty hole in the side and the bathroom smelt of sewage throughout the day.lovely.After 2 days of asking for more towels because 4 of us were having to share 3 towels we received one extra towel which had poo stains on it.the pool was never cleaned throughout our stay there and it had a film on top of the water and nice little bits of god only knows what floating about.the hotel staff includind the rep were over worked the hotel was definately under staffed. The rep tried her best but she spent most of the time sorting out peoples comlaints. The entertainment staff walked out and one was sacked for fighting with a holiday maker. The new staff tried ther best with little equipment. This is the first time i have ever complained about a holiday.Would i recommend this hotel yes if i didnt like you.makes faulty towers look good.

The pool-side area was occupied by the small minded 'towel on lounger' brigade; many of whom quaffed cheap booze all day and then started swearing at the kids...once the area started to thicken up around 11:00 am it was far too crowded with loungers and bodies and actually at times unpassable. In a word 'horrible', but the Vigilia Park up the road had nice facilities with a better standard of clientelle and pool faciliites which were open to use.

We were very dissapointed with our stay at this hotel the children found it very boring not much to do of a day time. Food very dissapointing not very much to choose from except with chips. Sun beds gone by 8 o/clock in the morning when they were unlocked early, people waiting at dawn with towels ready. Did not think it was good value for the money it cost. Did not find the waiting staff in the resturant very friendly in fact found them very rude at times, definetly would not return to this hotel.

We stayed all inclusive for 11 nights,We found the food to be plentiful and quite a good variety, there was always something that you liked.
All the hotel staff were very friendly and obliging.
the location was good because you could easily visit Los Gigantes and Playa arena as well as Puerto Santiago. We did not stay in the hotel at night so we can comment on the entertainment other than it was varied.
There were spare sun beds but not much space to put them unless you got up very early.
We would definatly go back to this hotel but on half board next time.

We have just returned from a 2 week all inclusive holiday and it was a good break. The hotel was clean and only saw 4 cockroaches for the whole 2 weeks we were there. Maids came in to our room daily and the room was very clean and comfortable.

The entertainment reps were very good but you had to participate in the activities to get to know the reps.

The staff of the hotel were very nice and cheerfull and the food was fine. Something to eat every day.

The hotel was very clean. Very cool and pleasant in the reception area. Rooms cleaned six days out of seven to a good standard. The food was of good quality if a bit monotonous. Breakfast was plentiful and enjoyed by us every morning. Lunch and dinner were much of the same foods but we ate out a couple of times to break the pattern. There were a few good bars and restraunts reasonably priced very nearby. Only two complaints. One lack of a decent bar in the evenings and entertainment not to our taste. (Route 66 is a very good music venue nearby).
and two the ridiculous scrum for sunbeds in the mornings, be warned be early. Hotel staff very friendly.

We booked this holiday late and with our sons ongoing Scuba diving courses in mind. We chose all inclusive with our sons consumption of drinks and ice cream in mind. Our room was on the fourth floor and we appear to have landed on one of the very few quietish spots on the complex, tucked away in a corner, away from the road and the entertainment area. Our room was spotlessly clean and we were cleaned and towels replaced daily, with the exeption of Sundays. We thought we were going to be air conditioned, but we weren't. However, the location of the room was ideal for a through flow of air and the benefits of the quiet location outweighed the air con. I saw more lizards than I did cockroaches, in fact the one cockroach I did see was as flat as a pancake. The food was fine, but a bit boring. It was a self service dining room, so if it was "chips with everything" it would have been because you picked them up. We ate out on three occasions over the fortnight, twice with people we met for "an occasion" and once because the boy was gagging for a cheeseburger! We were aware of the hotel location when we booked and although it wasn't ideal it never presented us with any great difficulty in getting to places and I'm sure walking all those hills did us the power of good. The Staff were wonderful. We always make an effort to be friendly from the word go and it pays dividends (our room was cleaned every day) and a please and thank you at the bar goes a long way.
Entertainment wise you would probably be better off watching the drunks, the people complaining about something or other in Reception or popping around the corner to Route 66. Many people loved the shows, but it wasn't really our cup of tea.
BUT, I would not go back to this hotel for one simple reason and that would be the sunbed scramble. The beds are chained up at night and not unlocked until 9.00am the next morning. "To prevent the beds being reserved" is the official line, but people of all nationalities started to gather at 7.00am to place little poolside drinks tables in their choosen spot and then drag a chair over to the chained up beds to stand guard. It's not a place for women of faint heart or small children when those chains come off and if you weren't in situ by 7.15am you had no chance. The earliest towel table? 4.14 am, Spanish family.
With this hotel offering so many good things it's a bit of a shame really.

We stayed here in August 2008, and after reading so many bad reviews i was a little worried about this hotel!

On arriving at the hotel after a very long journey along very windy roads, i was pleasantly surprised, its a large hotel and the reception area was very welcoming. We got told our room number but could we find it... NO! We had to ask one of the guards and he showed us the way.

The food was ok, breakfast was the best, and lunchtime/snacks/dinner were all much of the same every day, but they were edible and we never got ill from it. Drinks were good, alcoholic drinks were strong.

Entertainment wasn't good, not for two 24year olds anyway, i guess for kids/families it was ok.

The pools were ok, large and quite deep in areas. Although my white tankini turned yellow from the suncream floating around in the pool.

The worst part about the hotel was the lack of sunbeds and people "saving" them at 6:30am with their towels (which apparently isn't allowed but nobody did anything about it). A few days we had to lie on the grass.... not very comfy but had no choice. We did go in peak summer time so we were expecting it to be busy, but even at night time there wasn't enough seating for everyone to enjoy a drink or 2, so we often went for a walk or took a couple of drinks up to our own balcony.

Best thing about the holiday was finding the beach in Los Gigantes, beautiful setting and lovely harbour to walk along.

The hotel wasn't bad but it wasn't great. We won't be returning to this hotel again... but then we never go to the same place twice, we like a variety.
