We stayed the first night on half board and four more nights on B&B. We found the food to be very good and lots of it.
The hotel was beautifully kept and very clean.
The location of the hotel was out of the centre a bit but bars, restaurants and a small supermaket were quite close by.
The hotel staff were very helpful, most spoke English and were very glad to correct my tries at speaking Spanish in exchange for helping them with their English.
The entertainment wasn't very good but hey, we are talking about the middle of October and we did win a bottle of champagne playing Bingo!
We enjoyed our stay at this hotel and would stay there again.

My wife and I stayed for 3 nights at the Marina Playa in December 2005 on Half Board. On arrival although I had booked direct with the hotel on the internet I was told the internet price was not correct and I would have to pay extra, as we arrived at 11.30pm we paid the extra just to get our room, the folling day after some time at reception I got the overcharge refunded.
The hotel was clean but the food was not fit to feed a cat or dog, it was cold also had been standing for a long time, one evening we had bread and butter to eat as nothing on offer looked fit to eat.
I would only give this hotel a 1 star rating for the poor food and maybe 3 stars for the rest of the hotel.There was no entertainment and we will not be stoping at this hotel again.

We stayed in the Gran Vista just up the hill from the Peurto Marina, our hotel was so bad we spent all our time at the Peurto Marina.
The toilets in the Peurto Marina hotel werent very clean, they were always out of loo roll.
The hotels food was very good, except the chef was eying up my 16 year old daughter.
The location of the hotel is poor, although you can get a bus from only 0.75. The staff were very friendly, but it did look like they were under staffed.
The entertainment was okay, jodie, laura, helen, and scott, put their heart and soul into the shows although, only laura could dance, and helen couldnt sing.
My daughters made friends easily as it is a family orientated hotel, one of the friends my 16 year old made, witnessed the maids drinking out of their coke bottle, from their fridge.
While we were there, a fire broke out in one of the rooms, the "fire brigrade" were called which turned out to be 3 men with fire extinwishers, although it was a small fire we found this diabolical.
The room was all cleaned up the next day.
Everyone we spoke to said that they wouldnt return to this hotel again.

Please note that although this is a good 4**** hotel it is claimed to be on Mojacar Playa,it is but the Playa is 7km long and this hotel with some others is at the far end much closer to Garrucha and nowhere near any shops,bars or restaurants.
Bus rides which finish early evening and taxis which are near impossible to get or a hire car are the only answers other than a long walk.John.
