Very spacious, clean apartment. Excellent patio/terrace area overlooking the pool and sea. Staff were very helpful and rooms cleaned, towels changed daily. Entertainment was mainly geared to young children, but excellent. Limited for older teenagers, although there is a games room and internet cafe - which can become costly over 2 weeks!!

I have just returned from a great week at the Holiday Village with my two girls 13 & 16yrs.

After reading earlier reviews on this site, I was a little apprehensive to the point that I was almost tempted to cancel the holiday. I am very glad that I didn't!

The hotel complex is superb - very modern and clean. The staff are friendly, the food in the restaurant was varied and good and the staff are extemely friendly and helpful although some struggle with the English language. First Choice reps are always on hand to help!

The entertainment was a little repetitive for adults but the children all seemed to love it! The children's reps were exceptional and although my girls are a little older and didn't attend any clubs, they still joined in the Cha cha slide and Cartoon Heroes etc.

The Hotel is not very close on foot to any other towns but the buses run regularly into Benalmadena and Fuengirola. Benalmadena harbour is worth a visit and is lovely at night. Lots of bars and restaurants. A taxi cost 10 Euros each way - so not too bad!

I would recommend All Inclusive as the guests I spoke to who were self-catering found the shop and bars a little expensive.

Overall, a very good choice and I would go there again.

P. S. Hello to Becky and Lee and good luck with POP IDOL!!!

When I booked this holiday I thought I could not go wrong, new hotel, everything will be like new, nice and clean. It might be my bad luck but the curtains on to the lovely big terrace where all marked, the cleaner never ever left enough towels or left enough toilet paper, should not have to keep requesting these things in a 4* hotel. We ended up sweeping the marble floor as it did not seem to be the cleaners job. The rooms where big and the air con was fantastic, the bathroom had 2 showers (1 over the bath). I feel sorry for the people that have to keep the hall ways etc. clean glass and chrome always looked marked. Beware! if you get into a lift and a kid exits with a big smile, guess how many floors your going to visit. I thought the food was poor, lots of fish dishes. The hotel we where at last year had of cook and show stuff on the go with lots on interest. Not here. When on holiday we like a nice glass of wine with or main meal. The stuff on offer was not even palatable. Shame as I know Spain does have a good choice of fine wines. Someone in Spain is missing a good business opportunity here, they should have guest wines and let people sample them. The beach club had a few pools (no water slides as per the brochure), however the kids loved it and it took the stress of the main pool at the hotel which looked very busy to me. I thought the hotel staff where very average. On my check out I saw 2 separate people arguing with checkout staff for calls made from their hotel room phone for calls that they did not make, even though they had pin numbers?

Have just returned from 2 weeks AI. Hotel of a good standard and food quality equally as good. Room was large enough for 3 adults and a child but would imagine it to be cramped for 5. Maid visited every day but it was just a quite wipe round and a brush over. Never as sparkling as the day we arrived.

Found the procudure for AI a pain at times. Even if you were wearing the regulatory Green/Red bands, you still had to show your entry card to the guard to gain access to the HV or the BC. Why? It was obvious you were staying there. They removed the gate handle at one stage so that everyone had to show the guard their pass card. Same applied to BC entry. On several days during our visit there were many Spanish using the BC which is advertised in the FC brouchure "as for your exclusive use". When queried with FC rep as to why they were using the place, he replied that the Sirenis Manager had invited his family and friends and some of them were staying for a month so be warned it isn't for FC guests exclusive use at all!!! Also my 17 year old daughter was refused service of a bacardi & coke because she wasn't 18; she was wearing a "green band" which meant, according to FC, she was an adult. Needless to say neither she nor I were impressed; me because the drink was for me!!! Some of the staff could do with lessons on being polite to people and learing to smile. They are also very good at speaking about you behind your back but forget that some English people can speak Spanish and understand exactly what they are saying about them but the receiption staff were excellent - nothing too much trouble for them.

The BC was very disappointing; only one small slide which my 9 year old found very tame. Lots of work still to be done on the BC; the reception area opened on 21/7 and a second bar on 23/7. But is is no where near finished.

Main criticism of this hotel is its location. Its in the back of beyond and if, like us, you like a stroll after dinner, forget it!!! You need to spend 10 euros and go into Benalmadena. Probably in 4/5 years time, it will be like Benal but for now its dead boring unless you are into kiddie entertainment because that is the best way to described the evening entertainment. Dire is another way. We really felt it let the hotel down badly having seen what sort of entertainment can be provided by Sirenis hotels. It is aimed at the under 10 market and we found it quite insulting at times. Still cannot please everyone.

Weather was wonderful but getting those beds and brolly proved an event the second week. People were just being greedy and having 2 or 3 brollies when it was totally unnecessary; there are plenty of places to sit when the sun it at its hottest. Found that we had to get up before 7.30 to get either bed or brolly. Not what a holiday is about.

All in all, we had a lovely time at this hotel but would not want to go back. The intention is to build it up into a complex like they have in the caribbean where you don't have to go outside the compound gates and that isn't what we go on holiday for. There are plans for a further 6 hotels to be built here.

on arrival at the holiday village we were told our room wasn't ready but that we could get checked in and go and have some food.when the room was finally ready we had to get the cleaners back in as it was filthy the floor was covered in bits and fluff the shower was full of the previous occupants hair and a very large heavy mirror was hanging off the wall, the balcony had cigs everywhere and bottles and cups apart from that the room was spacious and accomodating.

The way they run the a/i is a bit of a pain you have to have a band on your wrist and show your card when you want anything the selfcatering/paying guests got served first the a/i had to que for everything sometimes for 10-15 mins at a time.

The cleanliness/maintainance of the hotel to say it is new 4star is not very good there are broked tiles near the pool and piano bar the bins round the pool we always over flowing the tiles in the pool were coming loose and some missing people were cutting there feet on these, the maid came into your room to make the beds but forgot about cleaning the room.
The food was very varied in the la perla restaurant and of a good standard but sometimes cold if you went down for dinner the ques where quiet big at times, lunch time didn't have much choice. The staff in here wern't up to much and need to learn to smile more if you asked them for drinks when you finally got their attention you get pot luck as to what they brought back if you wanted more than one and you got it you were very lucky. All you got out of some was KE.

The location is poor you need either a bus or a taxi to get you anywhere and at 12 euros each way can get expensive.

The beach club what a let down it is a complete joke, where are the 9 interconecting pools and the water slides in truth there are 3 pool not interconnecting and 1 slide that my 9yrs old got told to come off by the lifeguard and it is still not finished yet we cancelled our holiday from june because the beach club was not ready to july when first choice told us the beach club was up and fully running.

The staff at the reception were helpfull with any problems you had even listening to all the complains people where making which were quite a few.

We had 2 nights out side then they desided to repair the stage so the entertainment went inside to the malaki bar which is far too small for this purpose it was far too loud for this room and if you got to the back all you could see were pillars and peoples heads and choked by the cigarette smoke. Why wasn't the stage finished before the hotel opened so for 5 nights we had no entertainment which when the hotel is not within walking distance of an alternative can get boring.

Overall the holiday was very standard and not of the 4star we expected and paid for, the hotel was opened far too early and the staff had not the proper training. We made a complaint to the first choice reps while we where there most where ignored so we got told to put it on one of their forms before we left which we did on the day of departure and a stotty rep called Gill Oakes was not very happy that we had made one also whatch out for her as she talks about you behind your back calling you all names as overheard by my wife she didn't know she was stood behind her.

we arrived home on the 23rd july after a thoroughly good holiday("mega"!)as our son`s aged 5 & 9 described it.

ok! the hotel is new as is some of the inexperienced staff, everyone tried dam hard to keep us `brits`happy. the untidiest part of the hotel was the mess left by the holiday makers themselves and the cleaning staff worked hard 24/7 to keep it clean.

the food was very good indeed (break/lunch/eve) as my waistline can proove, excellent choice of fish & meat dishes.

the beach club was`nt entirely finished, but was great all the same.superb for younger children & relaxing for adults as there were no exciting slides etc, which would have made the club noisy.if you need the more exciting slides there are aqua parks close by.

entertainment was good geared mostly for kids, but they have a resident duo called intuition who are quite talented and sounded great.the entertainment reps worked hard & provided some enjoyable shows.

facilities at the hotel are superb, something for everyone.
the location of the hotel makes it a little isolated for people who like to take a walk around the resorts, but there are bus stops outside the hotel and plenty of taxis.
we`re going back next year so need i say more!.

Prior to travelling to the holiday village (apoligies in advance for spelling!)we painted a picture in our heads of holidays from hell! To our amazement it was the total opposite. On arrival at the hotel we were greeted by friendly hotel staff HOWEVER....we were given our room keys, to our suprise not! we were given a room facing the rail way lines on the back of the hotel even though we requested a front sea facing room. With this we went back to reception and they were only too happy to move us to a sea view room, it was such a transformation in views. The rooms are massive and fully air conditioned, the bedrooms have two double beds... one for me and one for her haha, plenty of wardrobe space and was really clean, the batrooms had two showers, two sinks and a bath We felt like the rich and famous! there is also a hair dryer and plenty of towels. The kitchen is also equally as spacious containing a microwave, kettle, fidge, oven etc.... and the fridge was filled regular with soft drinks however do stock up from the pool bar. The lounge/ dining room was also spacious with a big TV, sofa bed, to save you time and confusion you operate the tv by collecting a remote from the reception for a 10 euro deposit, if you have young children be aware to censor early evening televison viewing!! and finally the balconies are that spacious you can play 5 aside football on them especially after a few beers and cocktails! well thats the rooms
The overall hotel was very clean and a four star standard, the food was fantastic and there was plenty of choice. In the morning you could have as much fried breakfast as you wanted( I didnt she put me on a diet) or you could have cereals, fruit, cheeses etc, dont be afraid to ask for more coffee or tea however its disgusting take your own in and ask for hot water.
Evening meals are great too! make sure you visit the Italian and mexican whilst in your stay
During the day the pool bars provide endless snacks and drinks but be prepared to cue for abit.
The hotel location is situated in an ideal spot in between Benalmadena and fuengurola, dont use taxis as they are quite expensive however the bus is only a Euro to each resort.
The entertainment is great and the Reps did a fantastic job.

The hotel was very clean and tidy. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food had a variety that would suit any sort of person with a special diet.

The location was a bit out of the way but it might suit people who want a quiet holiday. The entertainment was excellent it had many sorts of entertainments.
The clubs for younger children was excellent.

I would recomend this to everyone.

Just returned home this morning and i can honestly say that i thought the hotel itself was great, very impressive with a full size yacht in the middle of one of the buildings.

The rooms are very spacious with great air conditioning which was greatly needed. Our party of three families were all put next door to each other as requested and although we were allocated rooms facing the railway, which has fast trains running every half hour from early moring till 12.30am close enough for you to see the passengers sitting, you eventually get used to them and providing you close both balcony doors it doesnt affect your sleep.

The maids came every day to change towels, empty bins and make the beds but they didnt clean the rooms every day but being self catering you tend to clean up after yourself anyway.

We chose to go for a meal in the hotel restaurant for one night to see if we liked it before upgrading and we were not impressed at all by the food, plenty of choice and eat as much as you like for 18 euros each for an adult but food not up to standard of a four star hotel.

Hotel staff were all lovely especially the reception staff who were always helpful and friendly. The entertainment laid on was excellent but we tended to go out most nights for our dinner which brings me to my only gripe, the location.

Just returned on the 30th July, hotel complex looks amazing but felt isolated as it was too hot to be waiting around for buses and too expensive to keep using taxis. Buses ran about every half hour but you couldnt say on the hour and half hour because the timetable had no pattern to it. I wanted to venture further afield but never got. We found torremolinous water park better than mijas but my son is 13. Trips run by the reps were very dear, cheaper to go to water parks in a taxi yourself. Trips to gibrolter much cheaper from benalmadena but I dont know if they would pick you up from your hotel. My son cut his feet in the pool also. I found the choice of food good but the meat often pink and undercooked. On the plane home I had terrible gripping stomach pains and was up all night with dioreah, no one else in the family felt ill so it could just be one of those things. Next year they are planning to open a train station right outside the hotel which will be much better. A wave pool is also on the cards to be built at the beach club. It will be a fabulous complex as a 9 hole golf course and horse riding is also been planned but not for a few years yet. Hotel entertainment was very poor the first week but more competetions took place the second week of our stay which were fun
