Cambrils Holidays

4 out of 5 from 42 reviews
Located 62 miles south of Barcelona, Cambrils is ticking a lot of boxes for a lot of different people. The key draws remain its near constant sunshine, endless beaches and gastronomic delights, with seafood being at the top of the menu. Equally important is its central location as it is bang in the middle of the Costa Dorada close to the PortAventura theme park and the nightlife of Salou. Other attractions include the nearby vineyards, golf courses and water parks. Alternatively you could stay in Cambril and get lost in the beauty of its old town and its many excellent restaurants.

Cambrils is lovely, the beaches are fantastic and get cleaned every evening.

There are lots of restaurants, shops, coffee shops & ice cream parlours. It has a very international feel, not many brits there but plenty of French, German & Scandinavian.

I would definitely like to return but actually stay much nearer the harbour.

The resort of cambrils & salou was very pleasant, especially the Port Aventura theme park which must be seen to be believed. I do not know what the night life was like as always stayed for entertainment in hotel. The beach in salou was lovely with plenty of watersports and was always very clean and tidy.

Stayed in cambrills. Can get bus every 20 mins for 1.15euro to the port or the other way to Salou. Salou very built up, cambrils port very Spainsh.

A lot of the shop and restaurant workers dont speak English, but as it is their country we English should make more of an effort anyway in learning the lingo!!!!!

Cambrils has changed since the last time i was there 15 years ago ,no longer the sleepy fishing village.

There are good spots within Cambrils which are very nice clean and well presented, however like most places there are areas that let it down with things such as graffiti, bits of rubbish on the beach and bins on the streets.

The resort entertainment is varied in as far as there are all nationality of restaurants bars, and then there is the beach to walk along which once again is very picturesque.

Cambrils is a lovely little place with shops, harbour and restaurants although quite a walk from the Maritim Princess, best to get a bus one way. Same for Salou, although nearer, if you have children a bus one way is advisable. Salou/Cambrils are very clean resorts with the occasional graffitti addorning the walls of the promenade. The beach is cleaned every morning and there the occasional playground along the route.

Overall the evenings were mainly hotel based entertainment as we went out of season the local bars were deserted. Not a problem if you visit in high season.

Overall lovely area and we would visit again.

Much better resort than Salou if you want a better, quieter area convenient for many different trips out. Day trip to Barcelona was great, went to Nou Camp and the Fountains which were really breathtaking for all ages.

Will go back to Barcelona itself there seems to be so much to see. Port Aventura really good, but beware the Kontuku Splash, we got absolutely soaked, really good laugh

Excellent for people with mobility problems and wheelchair users. Disability access was second to none throughout Cambrils and Salou. Especially along the 9 kilometre promenade/

we stayed at cambrills resort just astones throw from salou. the resort is very clean.there are plenty of shops for your presents.there is plenty of places to eat.ther is even a chippy which is very tasty.the resort has not much entertainment and to many bars but just call in to any hotel and watch there entertainment and you will be made welcome.the beach is spotless you can hire beds and umbrillas.they even have beach bars for those long cool drinks on a hot day.then at night the beach bars turn into romantic places to drink with lanterns dug into the sand.if you travel by bus to salou for one euro ten.you can go to the market, waterpark,or the theme park portaventura which is well worth the money.we arrived at ten in the morning and did not leave till seven that night.you pay about twenty three pound but thats it. once in the park the only time you put your hand in your pocket is to buy presents, drinks, food.try and watch the shows in the park not just the rides.my favourite is the temple of fire.they call it templo del fuego.try all in all salou is great.

Beach really clean and water shallow, bit windy. Too many people selling and offering a massage or hair braides on beach. Nice little beach bars.
