These apartments were the best apartments I have stayed in yet they were lovely.
The bar staff were very friendly in the bar called treasure island. The entertainment was brilliant.The two entainers were called Kate and Dave they were the two best entainers I have ever met.
I am going to try to come back in July 2006. I would tell people to come to the Club Siesta Dorado apartments beacuse we had a brilliant week thanks mostly to the entainers Kate and Dave.

This was our second year in the same apartments. One year on you can see the slight wear and tear in the rooms themselves, as they were brand new last year. Nevertheless the apartments are very big, with the best kitchen facilities I've seen to date. (Full fridge-freezer, full sized cooker, microwave, toaster, dishwasher, utility room, some even have washing machines in the apartment). The pool is lovely and it's easy to get a sunbed at any time of the day. Food in the bar is basic fare but fine. The location is nice and quiet. Entertainment is OK - might be nice if there was a bit more geared towards the kids at night. The bar has a selection of video games/pool etc., so you'll need plenty of

As in previous reviews the accommodation at Club Siesta Dorada is excellent. We had a ground floor 2 bedroom & 2 bathroom apartment (one with bath & shower, toilet, bidet and wash basin; the other with shower, toilet & wash basin), great for coming back from pool as our youngest doesn't like showers, so he'd bath!
There were 4 single beds, 3 sofa beds, settee, and dining room table & chairs. The table could be folded out to seat more with extra chairs provided. The kitchen was well fitted out, full size fridge with freezer, oven, hob, toaster, microwave & electric kettle. The apartment also had air con which was a blessing coming home at night.
Maids came every other day to change towels & toilet rolls. They don't take out rubbish, so keep your plastic bags! They also didn't seem to spend too much time in our apartment brushing and mopping, though to be fair, the children were still sleeping when they called most days, so it was difficult. There was dust pan and brush, and mop & bucket in apartment so it was easy to sweep through myself anyway.
The Kids' Club was super, the staff in it, excellent and the reception staff were always very helpful. The bar staff, were nice too though only a few spoke good English. There was entertainment on in the bar most evenings, but it generally stopped about 11.30pm and it was the same acts for the 2 weeks. Bar closes at 1.00 am, which for some of us, was a little early! No problems getting a bed by the pool, and the children loved it. Also a snack bar by the pool which provided basic food, but very edible!
The Apartments are situated a 10 min walk, uphill, from Cap Salou, towards La Pineda. There is a bus stop across from the apartments making it easy to go into Salou itself, or into La Pineda. Buses run regularly and until late.

Clean spacious apartments, Linen and towels changed frequently. Lovely poolside srea [see photo I have uploaded to gallery].
We had a complaint re a bad smell from kitchen pipe...it was dealt with and resolved promptly.
Poolside bar good.
Two of our children got an eye infection during our holiday. We mentioned this to staff in passing...and pool was immediately emtied and refilled. However googles are a good idea generally as chemicals, suncream [and probably the odd pee] are bound to be problem.
Overall a great place for families to stay. First Choice kids reps were great.

Great apartments only requested 1 bedroom given 2 bedroom and 2 bathroom! really clean, staff very friendly. Pool good and plenty of sunbeds never crowded. really enjoyed hol and would go back again.

The accommodation was excellent, hotel staff very helpful. Travel reps were superb, the Kids Club was a huge hit they really looked after our son. Would vist again. Well located for bus stop 10mins bus ride into Salou, frequent, cheap and reliable
