Hi katwin :) Wife and I were in Olu last October and spent several days in Fethye - really nice town with plenty of Turkish places to eat, lovely harbour etc.
I believe Calis is more of a purpose built holiday Resort and everyone I know who have been there say it is a lovely place - enjoy :D

been to calis twice would have no problems with visiting again, providing it isnt too hot fethiye is within walking distance, personally i would opt to stay in calis if i ever visited this area again, although it is a tad shabby in some areas and hasnt the scenery of olu, there is a wonderful friendly laid back atmosphere about the place and i find it much more comfortable than olu deniz, you can also visit gocek from calis quite easily and it is wonderful here.Travel to and from fethiye is frequent and cheap and from fethiye you can travel to ovacik, olu, hisaronu,or even kalkan if you fancy a trip further afield i am quite sure you will have a great time.

Hiya,

My partner and I stayed in Calis 2 years ago and loved every minute of it. Very relaxing, lovely people and atmosphere. We visited Fethiye and Olu Deniz by Dolmus - very quick and easy. We also did the 12 Islands boat trip from Fethiye which was a lovely day out. Oh and of course do a Turkish massage - fantastic! I'm sure you will have a great time!

We have stayed in calis twice at the oykun. I have been to marmaris in the past (20 years ago, I believe it has changed a lot and not for the better from what I have read and seen) and also hisaronu. Calis is by far the best out of the 3, everything you need is on yuor doorstep and you can get over to fethiye very easily on the water taxi if you want some serious shopping or a change of scenery and pace. A lot of tourists you meet in calis will tell you that they a return visitors, in fact my parents have been going for a month every year for around the past 15 years. We can't wait to go back hopefully next year!

Hello going back to Calis beach & the Oykun hotel for 3rd year running.
We do not normally go back to the same place & hotel, but we fell in love
with Calis & the Oykun Hotel. :love
Calis beach is nice & flat, lovely main street with bar/restaurants,shops,
jewelers,trip agents,hairdressers/barbers.
There is a water taxi you can catch into Fethiye, along the short canal into
the bay of Fethiye & landing in the lovely harbour of Fethiye.
But one of the good things about Calis beach is its promenade.
Lined with restaurants along the flat promenade, with beautiful sunsets,
really worth the visit :clap
Anyone with walking disabilities will find this resort a bonus, really flat, you
can even rent mobility scooters for getting about. :fly
Calis beach is a great place to use has a base.
