Look at Bangkok airways and Nok air.
Both have websites and you can book online. We used both last year for internal flights.
But beware that there are two airports in Bangkok, so if you are thinking of doing connecting flights back to UK.
Bangkok airways fly to and from Suvarnabhumi.
Nok air fly to and from DonMueang.
I believe air asia also fly this route.

I've used AirAsia and Thai Airways to Krabi in the past. Flight takes just over an hour. Bear in mind this is peak season for the area. Prices will be high and many places book up. What standard of accommodation are you looking for...also do you want remote or resort based (Ao Nang)
