Hi apple1

We've been to Bella Italia on Lake Garda and it is a very big and bustling site with loads to do - we all had a good time there. There's all sorts of watersports activities as you might expect on a lake - sailing, windsurfing and pedaloes and but there's other sports like basketball, football, tennis and table tennis. Loads of entertainment too. There are three large pools, the only thing is the slides wouldn't be exciting for teens.

We were there with our two children who were both under 8 at the time but we did see lots of families with older children - even in June. We didn't do much touring about locally because it was just a long weekend, but we saw signs for the Gardaland theme park which must be close, and Milan and Verona are do-able.

We flew into Milan Bergamo with Ryanair and it was a straight forward 1hr drive to site.

We stayed in a mobile home which was ok, but it just had a fan in it so it was very hot and stuffy - while we were there we found out that Canvas have mobile homes with aircon which would definitely be a big plus.
