Nationwide Flexi or cash win hands down over travellers' cheques.

There's usually commission charged and you have to produce your passport.

In Golden Sands there's an ATM at the bank at the Admiral, and another in the Zlatna Kotva reception, plus others I'm sure.

Do you mean interest rate or exchange rate?

Last September the banks and hotels were giving around 2.75 leva to the £ for cash but we were getting 2.88 with Nationwide flex, with no charges.

Totally agree with Peter & Patka, Nationwide Flex A/C Debit Card wins every time compared with either cash or travellers cheques. You receive a better interbank rate of exchange and no additional charges for withdrawals.
