having stayed in fethiye and akyaka, both are working towns but fethiye is a lot busier and more shops etc but we couldnt find a beach except hotels, but akyaka is far more beautiful and has a wonderful beach , so really think what you want out of a holiday. we use various transport companies to akyaka its only about 50 mins away , fethiye is about 40 mins away. we stayed in fethiye at letoonia 5* all inc and did a diy.

ive also stayed in olu deniz which is a lovely resort but it is man made and not what you asked for. have a good read up on the various resorts

my friends are staying here when they come with us to akyaka in a few weeks, it looks lovely as i went and had a look at it for them earlier in the year
