Varadero is very clean and very quiet resort, obviously pretty new to tourism.

The resort has picture perfect beaches along one side and motorised sports on the other. The flea markets in downtown varadero are definatly worth a vist.
Don't bother the mall of Americas unless your desperate for something to do.

The resort location was good, on the Varadero peninsular amongst other hotels, a fairly easy trip into Varadero. The beach is up there with the best and very safe shallow water. The resort entertainment is hotel based and a bit amateurish but the entertainment staff try hard, although if it is peace and quiet you want this is not the place to go as during the day there is the usual aerobics and volleyball in the pool and the pounding sound of the one music tape/cd repeatedly played was not exactly background music!

Very poor, not much too do, there is a local flea market to do some shopping. Went out for a meal because our hotel food was not very good but not much different from hotel and food very bland. Not much else in Varadero to see or do.
Would not go back and would not recommend any one to waste their hard earned cash on this place. The Beach was ok but if it was cleaned regularly it would be so much better.
You could see the beach had not been cleaned as the rain dropps were still on it from the night before as where the fag ends pastic cups etc, also not enough shade for the amount of people which the hotel catered for.

The resort was very clean and well looked after if the pool staff were clearing up plastic cups.
The entertainment was excellant and the team were very hard.
The beach was lovely and clean and great for watching the sun set.
This holiday will be a lifetime of memories for us and most certainly the girls best!!!

Experienced a Hurricane when we were there so this unfortunately churned up lots of seaweed. The water was not very blue or clear as we expected but we think it was due to the Hurricane as there was a lot of plantin in the water and seaweed. So we are sure it was temporary
