We stayed at this hotel in July 2006 after staying in September 2005 and what a difference 9 months can make?

The staff were nowhere near as friendly as they were in September, and without doubt there were far fewer in attendance.

The room cleanliness was very good and so was the dining room.

Location was very good for a quiet week or two in the sun - bars and main towns are a good 40mins walk away. Beach was accessed just across a very minor road and through a 50m wooded area - beach itself was fairly quiet as it is between Alcudia one way an Can Picafort the other - sun beds 7euros a day, which you can reserve for the week if you like. Beach sandy shallow and clear - beware of jelly fish [only a few and easily spotted.]

Food at the hotel was very good. Drinks all ok but queues did build up at the bar as often only 2 staff serving.
Entertainment average.

We asked for late check out and were refused as room was required - this turned out to be untrue which spoilt our last day - if you want late check out ask on arrival and insist on it and you will be accommodated.

We arrived at 11pm and found the air con had broken down, which had been the case for at least a couple of weeks -hotel was stifling - this made eating, sleeping, relaxing, watching the entertainment very uncomfortable to say the least, and spoilt the whole holiday - air con was only partly working when we left.

We were not kept informed by hotel or reps except for an A4 card left by the lift which apologised and said they are doing all they can to rectify the air con - when I asked rep or hotel staff when it would be fixed I was told they did not know and did not want to commit as they had been let down before - "fat lot of good"

Come on Thomson get it back together- this was a great little place only 9 months ago - pull it back from the dead!

My ratings look reasonable I know, but all were tainted by lack of air con - imagine sitting in the sun in an up market car with broken air con - how can you enjoy it?

Four of us went on 15th July for one week on a last minute deal.

This was a fantastic holiday, the food was first class, the entertainment was excellent.

All the staff was friendly and helpful.

The rooms was first class it's the best hotel we have stayed at in long time we would all go back without fail

We also arrived at the hotel while the air conditiong was broken. Hotel was nice, pool area to small and quite unkept.

Food was OK but due to the fact that we were eating in temperatures of 32 degrees. We just ate the main course and left the dining room. As it was way to hot to stay!!

It spoilt our holiday completely . We complained but have not heard anything from Thompsons, its thumbs down to there customer care!

Entertainment was quite good, really considering the price of drinks. Bar close at midnight.

Location was very good if you have a room at the front of the hotel.

Staff were ok but working in that heat I'd be fed up too!

Stayed here after weeks cruise, bad idea cos hotel can just not compete on any level, food, entertainment, staff, atmosphere etc..never stayed in 'gold' hotel before and to be honest found the client

This holiday should have recieved 5 out of 5 in all but location, 50yrds from the beach but then 15 20 walk to anywhere else. Not a big problem but just enough to stop it being perfect.

The air conditioning was turned down low and this made the bedrooms, entertainment room and especially the dining room to warm to relax.

I was told I was the only one when I mentioned it to hotel reception but speaking to others I found most people had complained. I then spoke to the manager and the Thomson rep who then insisted it was on full.

It did get cooler by Thursday but still not enough.

Thomson rate this hotel 4T , it should definitely be three star like it said on the hotel sign. It was quite a good walk from anything and we missed not having anywhere to stroll in the evening plus there was no quiet area in the hotel.

We enjoyed having no children under 16 in the hotel, and will look for that again. The staff were polite and helpful, the hotel and bedrooms were very clean, however we found the hotel manager odd,in that he didn't want to communicate with the holiday makers he just prowled about.

The food was okay but porridge and pancakes would have been a nice alternative to fat bacon.

The entertainment was pretty good but from the outside the theatre building was disgusting it, looked like a bomb shelter At the welcome meeting the reps didn't say much about the area e.g. nearby places of interest they were hell bent on selling Thomsons expensive trips

From the brochure we were expecting something more luxurious.

The bedrooms were nice and clean and so were the other areas of the hotel but the bar area and reception were very basic and not very comfortable. Some of the curtains were hanging off the rail in the bar and this made it look scruffy.

Did not like the massive television in the bar area which was on constantly. Thought there should be a separate area for this.

Dining room was spotless and food nicely presented.Staff were pleasant.

Lovely swimming pool with lots of sunbeds and no kids screaming and shouting.

Location was poor as there was nowhere to walk to if you wanted a stroll after dinner, also very dark outside the hotel.

Entertainment was o.k but did not like the entertainment area at all this would be better outside.

We would not return to this hotel.

thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel. only a few niggly bits which are as follows....

1. Rooms rather small. It was difficult to find anywhere to put our suitcases without tripping over them all week!.

2. Arrived at 6am feeling hot, tired and thirsty, yet there was no water in our fridge so we had to wait until breakfast was served before having a drink of any kind.

None of that spoiled our holiday in any way, and there were far more good points than bad, which are as follows.......

1. Entire hotel spotlessly clean.

2. Quality of food was excellent, especially the breakfasts which were lovely, with nice sausages, bacon, beans toast etc. Yoghurts and fruit etc also available.

As we were all inclusive, we could just help ourselves to soft drinks, water, wine, lager from the fridge in the dining area as often we wanted during lunch.

However, during the evening meal, you have to wait to have the drinks brought to you, but the staff were generally pretty fast and efficient at bringing your drinks and clearing dirty plates.

Gentlemen also had to wear long trousers for the evening meal. Plenty of salad available, as well as pork/lamb chops, mashed potatoe with cheese, chips, lasagne, fried steak, jacket potatoe, veg, salmon, paella all made an appearance throughout the week.

3. Location for the beach was wonderful. You just came out of hotel, crossed a very quiet road, walked over a path, and you came out at the glorious clean beach.

4. Staff were generally friendly and efficient, not as many miserable faces s you usually see on holiday.

5. Plenty of seating at bar, outside by the pool, and in the lobby. Large telly in bar with sattelite tv. However, dont start watching anything on the telly in your bedroom, because as soon as they change satellite channels in the bar, it changes all the televisions in the bedrooms too!!.

6. Nice range of holiday makers, ranging from older teeneagers with their family, to older couples. Absolutely no trouble makers or drunks while we were there. No kids under 16 allowed at the hotel, so it was wonderful not to have kids running round you all day and night.

7. Entertainment was generally fine, apart from the reps show which was really tedious and unfunny. There was usually a quiz, followed by various acts including a beatles tribute band and some acrobats etc.

All in all, a lovely hotel. I think it is only a 3 star because it doesnt have an indoor pool, a gift shop, or a gym etc.

However, these things didnt bother us at all. We would stay there again without hesitation at the right price.

We thought it excellent value,reception good,reps very good,food very good.

We have done a/i,many times and this was one of the best. Good location to get local buses to other resorts.

The hotel was friendly, staff really helpful,some entertaiment was a bit poor but that was a small hiccup,we would recommend this holiday to others. Our flight home was early.

We went to reception at 06.00hrs and the receptionist opened the resturant for us to have a drink and something to eat.

We really enjoyed our holiday.

We really enjoyed this holiday, it was great because no kids, and that was good because this were our honeymoon!!

Our rooms were very clean and the cleaners would clean our rooms everyday.

The pool area was also clean

The food was great

The hotel staff were also good and so was the entertainment.

This was our first all inclusive and we would go back, it was strainge to get used to the fact that everything was free!!!
