I arrived on the 31st of December to stay for 5 days.

On arrival at the hotel, I went to my room. It had a double bed that was pushed up to a wall. As I was staying there with my partner this was not suitable, as it would mean having to climb over whoever slept on the outside to get out of bed.

The room was also very small, it seemed like single bed room really, definitely not suitable for a double bed. The sheets on the bed were also dirty. I requested another room at reception which they agreed to without any problems. The new room was much larger and more suitable to 2 adults, although it had a worse view then the other room. You could walk around the bed in this room, so I was happy with that at least.

The hotel was always clean and tidy, and if there was a problem it got sorted out really quickly.

The food was ok in this hotel, although ever so slightly repetitive. The New Years Eve meal wasn

We did not know what to expect at this hotel after reading various reports.

On arrival we were booked in efficiently by reception staff who all spoke good English.

First impression of reception area was good and clean. we were booked into floor eight unfortunately the lift only goes to floor seven so had to carry cases up one flight of stairs not a problem to us as we are fit and able but would be a major problem for some of the older generation.

The room was of a good size and clean with balcony overlooking pool area.

We were staying on an all inclusive basis breakfast was nothing to write home about with the usual cereals and English fry up (with Spanish bacon) or continental style. Lunch and dinner were much better with a good selection every day, unfortunately if you timed it wrong there was a bit of hassle getting a table. The all inclusive snacks between meals of burgers and chips ect are a joke and not worth a visit as it's mainly cold which was a pity as overall we were happy with the restaurant.

The board basis was great as I didnt have to ever take money with me, all the drinks were included and it was nice to have one when I wanted one and not have to hand over money for it.

When I arrived at the hotel, it seemed to be very clean, the reception area was very nice and the rooms were very clean apart from the fridge, I wanted to put some bottled water in it and some soft drinks but it was so dirty that I decided against it. There was a key in the fridge too but it didnt lock so it never got cold enough and there was always water in it where the fridge part had melted every time the electricity went off. I did have two good nights sleep though, the beds were very comfortable.

I felt that there was plenty of food for you to choose from, a very good selection and I was never hungary. I felt that at snack times there was never a variety from one day to the next, there always seemed to be croquets, chips, sausage and burgers for the snacks, the chips were always soaked through with grease and were never hot and fresh just warm and hard.

I often had to wait for a table as there are not enough tables to accommodate the amount of people there although I didnt ever have to wait for very long.

The location of the hotel is very good, its not far from the airport which is good and the walk down to the shops and nightlife is only about 5 mins, its a very pleasant walk and you can find all you need there too. The beach was just lovily, golden sand and clear blue sea, very nice indeed.

The hotel staff were ok, although there was one of the bar staff that always gave you a gin and tonic water even when I asked for a cup of coffee or a diet pepsi, how they could get it so wrong I dont know.

The entertainment I cant really comment on as I didnt watch it.

I dont think I would visit this hotel again, I like to soak up the sun when im on holiday and in comfort, but by the time I had eaten breakfast and got mu stuff to go downstairs, there were no sunbeds left and there was very little sun around the pool anyway, I ended up having two chairs and putting my legs up on those which was very uncomfortable when you are there all day. There were loads of sunbeds that had towels on them but not being used which I found very selfish of the other guests.

After reading comments on this page about this hotel I thought it could not be that bad but believe me it is from walking into the reception its dull and dirty. Having to wait two hours because my room was not ready it just went down hill all the way.

Its never a four star or three Ts plus as thomsom say. The restaurant is small you have to queue for every meal. The food is not great, veal every night.

The bar is a joke only serves half pints which cost more. The safe costs 21 euros with no deposit back. The pool is uninviting with broken sun beds and dirty matteress to put on them.

Don't stay in room 209 the worst in the hotel for noise its got the church bells every hour the busy road and the delvery entrance and restaurant underneath. Scrapping chairs about all the time I would not recommend it to anyone.

Hotel very clean, about the only good thing about it.

Food was very poor, over cooked, every night the soup was the same, veal, veal and veal, bad selection of veg,
desserts were ok if you were going to a child

Having stayed here on a recommendation this wasn't what I expected in any way.

The food was awful; everything tasted like it had been cooked in the same pot at the same time. It was incredibly bland and as long as you like veal and chips you were fine. It was very lacking in variety. Due to this even though we were all inclusive we didn't eat at the hotel for the last four days.

Room was cleaned every day and beds were made early, however on more than one occasion we found broken bits of glass in the corridor outside.

Best bit about this hotel was the fact it was so close to beach and the local bars. The golf course just down the road was where we went most nights due to the entertainment being so bad. The entertainment staff didn't need the microphone she was shrieking into. One night the "entertainment" was a guy in tube that appeared to be rolling around pretending to be a sausage!!!

The bar staff were very good, within 2 days I could walk to bar and they would know what I wanted to drink without my having to tell them. However the waitresses were the opposite.

All in all I was very very disappointed with this hotel and will never step foot inside of it again. How it can be called a palace it totally beyond me.

The hotel was great, much better than we had expected after reading all of the bad reviews!

The location was great as it was really close to the centre of Palma Nova, and also Magaluf, where there was a lot of night life, but we were glad to be sleeping away from there.

The only things that let the hotel down are the food, and the size of the pool and the area around it.
There wasn't enough variation of food in the week we were there, however as we were half board this wasn't too much of a problem!

We didn't go to the pool at all during the week, as it just looked to cramped, but the beach was really really close, and it was great, really clean, with plenty of places to get snacks and drinks from.

We had a really great time.

Palma Nova Palce was a very nice hotel.
The rooms were always clean and were very spacious....even for 3 teenage lads sharing!!
The food was gorgeous, the only complaint i have is that the plates should be bigger so i could fit more on! Oh and be prepared to pay 2 euro for a litre bottle of water at dinner, even tho in the supermarket i paid 98 cents for a gallon!!
The location was ok as long as you dont mind a 30 minute walk to magaluf's night life. However, staying a bit further out means you are guaraunteed a good nights sleep!! Also, the hotel is 5 minutes walk to the centre of Palma Nova. Ideal!!
The reps were very friendly and extremely helpful, shame about the Spanish staff, who need to learn to smile more!!
The pool area was fairly small, but was never overcrowded and there were plenty of seats/loungers.
Definitely worth going here if you are a young couple, a group of friends, or a family with older kids!

The Hotel was really good, the place was really clean, there wasnt a bit of dirt anyware. The food was nice although the melon was always a bit hard and I quite ofter had to wait for a table.
The staff at the bar were very nice but it botherd me because I had to ask for my change alot and a can of irn bru is 2 euros 60 cents which is a little bit of a joke.
The entertainment was really good, I dont like bingo but Drew and Annette were very nice during the day when doing archery, darts, pool etc.
I would definatly come back to the hotel again, infact I am already planning a holiday with my mates.

The hotel its self was very clean and comfortable although i would not have said it was 4 star.

The food was very tasty and hot, the downside being that on occasions people would have to queue for a table in the resturant.

Also if you were only half board you were given the option to upgrade to all inclusive, which we did half way through our holidays.

There was no snacks available to purchase through out the day if you were only half board, only the option to purchase lunch at 10 euros in the dinning room.

The entertainment team were brilliant, they had a wide and varied programme throughout the day.

Entertainment on the evenings was not to bad.

Staff were friendly and helpful through out the hotel.
i would consider returning to this hotel in the future.
