This is one of the dirtiest places I have ever stayed at.

We requested lower floor accommodation as we had young children. On arrival we were given 5th floor!! The lift broke down everyday.

The hotel was smelly, the food was bad and the reception staff were very rude.

There was so much chlorine in the swimming pools that you could not stay in them for long without your eyes burning.

One of the young boys in our party was even slapped by one of the staff, which we did report.

I would never go back even if it were free!!! I could say a lot more, my last words on this place is that it should be bulldozed so that other families do not have to suffer.

If you want a good holiday avoid this place at all cost.

The best time our party had was when we were out of the hotel.

The entertainment was rubbish, staff were very rude and unhelpful. While finishing our drinks one night at 12.10pm we were told that if we did not move the security would come and sort us out. We were not being loud, just sitting chatting quietly.

I would never visit this place again, given the choice I would rather give the money to a well deserved charity!!

Firstly I would like to say that maybe the hotel Villamarina was different last year. There is a new manager now and I have to say we have had an excellent holiday (maybe last year it was also a good hotel).

The food in the hotel is simply excellent. All the meals are buffet and there is plenty of choice.

The rooms are quite small.

The entertainment is quite good, especially the shows at night.

All the staff in general are marvellous, Eva the manager, the entertainers, the reception staff, the cleaners, the restaurant staff and the bar staff. Absolutely all of them.

My family and myself have had a great time and we can't wait to go back to the Villamarina.

The hotel was very clean. The food was excellent with lots of choice and something different everyday.

The hotel it self was a bit out of the way it was about a 20 minute walk to the beach and to the shops. Most of the staff were ok but some werent very helpful as they coulnt speak much English.

Entertaiment was excellent.however the rooms were far to small for a family of 4. The pool was a bit small and didnt cater for very small children.

We booked a late deal to Salou (allocation on arrival)and we were put in the Villa Marina Hotel.

On arrival to the airport we met the First Choice rep who told us which hotel we would staying in.. After dropping off other holiday makers i was desperatly trying to see our hotel from the coach window. We pulled up next to the police station where the rep said " Villa Marina Hotel"!!

I wanted to cry from the first time I set eyes on the building. It looked old and dated, I couldn't believe what I was seeing. We made our way into reception and checked in, where the lady showed us the way to our room.

We open the room door and our faces dropped.. until this point I would never had called ourselves snobs but this took the p... We dropped our cases and headed off around the hotel to find that things did not get much better, kids and foul mouthed mothers screaming as loudly as they could.

We waited 24 hours for towels as none had been left, we contacted reception twice to be told they would arrive!! We spent most of the holiday away from the hotel on the beach (which is lovely) or visitng resturant in search of food.

This is the worst hotel you could ever find and the standards are not 3* the food is worse than school dinners in the 70's and the rooms are not like what you see in the brochure!! DO not stay at this hotel if you do not like KIDS. A late check out room is not available, however they will let you use a room for 3 minutes if you are lucky..

The First Choice rep wasn't any better either, I am sure if they knew what her attitude was like she would not have a job!

If you have already booked this hotel I suggest you change hotels today..

Arrived back last night from a weeks all inclusive at the Villa Marina, booked very last minute and so we didnt know what to expect as we were allocated our accomodation on arrival.

We were allocated apartments which are set apart from the main hotel, and were fantastic, a double room, a twin, fully fitted kitchen and a living area with a sofa bed, table and chairs, tv etc.

Bathroom was a good size too. We had a good sized balcony with a patio set (and a washing machine!!) A spiral staircase led up to the roof terrace where there was a sunbed and chairs, a shower unit and a built in bbq! In the hotel the staff were friendly enough, there was only 1 guy who was a bit rude.

The cleaning and maintenance staff never stopped working and the place was spotless. The food was the best i've ever had on all inclusive, beat the four star ai we went to last year hands down.

It really was superb! Drinks were good quality and cocktails delicious! I would definitely visit this hotel again.

We have spent 2 weeks in the Villa Marina and we have loved it!!!! The entertainment is absolutely brilliant. There is a different show every night, different activities during the day, great for both kids and adults.

The food is really good. We are really fossy with food and we have enjoyed it. The curries are beautiful.

The hotel is clean, the bar staff and the cleaners work really hard to keep it spotless.

All the staff is really good. Eva, the hotel manager, is lovely. You are going to be impressed on how young and professional she is. If you have any problems go and see her, she will sort everything out!!!

I would say that if you are a family with kids, you are going to have a good time.

Absolutely brilliant time in the hotel.

Food was good, varied choice everyday, plus a neat little snack bar next too the pool whenever you got peckish.

Eva the manageress didnt hestitate too stop and chat too us for a bit.

Entertainers were a blast, all of our group got on well with them, good laugh from them all.

No complaints about the hotel at all, although it was a 5minute taxi ride from the bars, couldnt complain.

The hotel was nice and clean. There was a bit of a smell beside the bar but it wasn't too bad. There was always cleaners in the toilets giving them a good going over. There was a few fag buts around but they weren't there long. It would have helped if there was a bin thing outside the main door like.

The food was always really hot. It was a bit of the same. There was always beans on for the kids. Fish fingers or chicken nuggets and chips. The food was always nice and well cooked.

The hotel was a bit out of the road like but they had a free shuttle bus taking you from the hotel to the beach and from the beach back to the hotel. If you like a lot of shops right outside the place then there isn't much. But don't get me wrong its nice and peaceful at anytime of the day bar the noise from the hotel itself.

99% of the staff were good the Manageress Eva was a star she was really really friendly and helpful she never told you rubbish. She was always on hand if you needed anything. She would come over to you asking if things were ok with you and if yo were enjoying your stay. I had to take my little boy to the doctor she wrote out what I wanted to say to the doctor in Spanish just incase they did not understand. It came in handy.

When we got there the man behind the reception to us to leave or bags in the left luggage as it was 9:15 at night and the restaurant closed an 9:30 so we could get food. That was really good as we were all starving. Then he gave us a few rooms to see what we like the best. Nothing was too much trouble for him.

The kids entertainment wasn't long enough most days. But the season is just starting so they were just getting to grips with everything. But what they did to with the kids was good. They always had there mini disco with a few party dances at night. They were really good with the kids. I got to see there first ever show and it was so ace. Really funny. They were all really good at what they did.

I would to back to it again. But I have never done that before I always go somewhere different as a like a change somewhere new.

We stayed in the Villa Marina all inclusive for 2 weeks the food was good but pretty much the same stuff

The hotel was cleaned daily although most the time smelt of sick the pool areas were clean but please be aware that the only things that were aloud were rings for kids and arm bands no lilos , ball games , diving jumping running and pretty much having fun.

The food was good but pretty much the same stuff good for kids as they love chicken nuggets and chips wouldnt advise the pool bar as much as it tasted good gave me a bad stomach for two weeks.

The hotel was in a good location only ten minutes walk to the beach ( or you can get a shuttle bus whitch runs every half hour) we tended to walk most days as there was plenty of clothes shops banks e.t.c on the way

Reception were nice when they wanted to be but we stayed there two weeks every night all hours of the morning people were making noise kept me awake for hours but didnt do anything about it, but the one night in 14 that we made one bit of noise threatened to call the police thats the Spanish answer to everything

Entertainment was good for kids but not really for adults also as we were there for 2 weeks we see most things twice which got pretty boring, plus they said a few things which we were looking forward to and they changed them.

Would visit the hotel again if we had kids and were located in a different part of the country as this part of Spain is not very lively and apart from the theme park and water parks not much to do. ( if you do go the best thing to do is pre-book your tickets for theme park and water park go to ask Jeeves and put in Port-Aventura you will get a 14 day pass for the price of 3 day 40 euros per person otherwise it will cost you 35 euros for one day we used our pass for 3 days then sold it for 35 euros per ticket pretty much made our money back

We have just been back from the hotel Villamarina.

The bad comments regarding this hotel are not fair at all.
The rooms are quite small but when you are in an All Inclusive hotel you do not spend much time in the room.
Everything is clean, the food is lovely and the shows at night are incredible.

But above all I would like to point out the importance of a single person in the whole hotel: her name is Eva. She is the hotel manager and she is absolutely wonderful. I have never seen such a good manager. Not only she works really hard but she gets involved in everything: entertainment, she serves you pints in the bar, she is just amazing.

I would like to thank Eva and all her staff for such a great holiday.
