Just seen this and I'll make enquiries from some of the ex-pats. Just because Tunisia is predominantly moslem certainly doesn't stop some people being problem drinkers.

Hi again Amanda, I've made enquiries and nobody seems to have heard of this in Tunisia. There is certainly more alcoholism in the country than the authorities may wish to admit, but it isn't considered a high priority and it is left to families to sort out problems.
