thanks, some good reviews, but still wonering about the resorts themselves
Cala Egos is not what I would call a hilly resort. Yes, there are some areas where the road has a bit of an incline but not too much. To walk from the Rocamarina to the main street of Cala Egos you do have to walk uphill a little, but I would not consider it too challanging. There is a small cove opposite the hotel and again, to walk back up to the hotel you do have to climb a little. If you walk to the marina it is mainly downhill but you would find the climb back up from the marina area difficult - I often find myself out of breath on the way back from a night at the marina.
Generally I would not worry- any slight hilly bits should be managable, and you can always get a taxi to town or from the marina ( approx 6 euros). The hotel has some steps but they are wide and shallow and will not pose a problem.
I hope you enjoy Cala Egos.

thanks marymary, i have been trying to get some photos of inside of hotel, but not having much luck, are the steps mostly outside do you know?
Hi Caziann,
There are steps inside the hotels - obviously to get upstairs to the bedrooms but they are as I said, wide and not very steep. There is a lift which guests can use to get to their bedrooms on the first and second floors. To access the pools, bars, restaurants etc you do not have to navigate any steps. The steps at the front are I think, easily managable. I think you should have no real problems and you can stop worrying!

Forgot to mention Cala Dor. If you take a taxi into the town of Cala Dor you will have no problems. It is pedestranised and all very flat and level. It is only if you want to walk in and out of Cala Dor from Cala Egos that you will encounter hills.
thanks marymary you have put my mind at rest
