There is a caravan park at Pooley Bridge, Ullswater that has a few static caravans. It is a great base for exploring the lakes and Cumbria.
It's called Parkfoot Camping and Caravan Park or there is another one called Waterfoot. They are both close to the lake and Pooley bridge is a lovely village with three good pubs serving meals.
Hope this helps.

Lakeside Holiday park in Keswick is a lovely site right on the lake and walking distance to all the attractions of Keswick

Another site which is next door to Lakeside is Derwentwater Camping and Caravanning Club site. There are statics to hire and it's open to non members, but not actually on the lakeside

There is a Haven site near us at Flookburgh who have deals, never stayed there I only live about a mile away but I do use their shop for croissants and french bread during the season, a good base to travel either to the lakes or Dales we often go to Harrogate only an hour and three quarters

Hi
Looked on the Haven site couldn't find the one you mentioned.
Do you mean Haven holidays - the one that I think is part of Butlins/similar?
Sorry to be a pain but the location sounded good.
Thanks Irene

Howgill Lodge is a nice site, mostly touring vans but a few static vans, set in lovely scenery, not far from Bolton Abbey, and drivable distance to Skipton. There`s a falconry centre on the A65 not far out of Skipton, very interesting and enjoyable.
