I stayed for a few days in Wensleydale in May and thought it was beautiful lots of people have their favourites but we seemed to fall in love with almost everywhere we visited. I stayed B&B so can't be much help with a cottage. I know Pippa stayed in a 4* cottage near Settle around the same time. I don't know how many bedrooms though, perhaps you could pm her for info.

As Judith said we stayed in a beautiful cottage near Settle in May - highly recommended. It does have 2 bedrooms although the second one is a very small single. Gorgeous bathroom!!

Settle is a lovely little market town with all that you need. It is also in a great location for visiting all of the dales and also the coast and Lake District.
