Hmm..Egypt will definitely be cheaper like Julian says..but I think for nightlife and pubs/clubs etc.my kids preferred the Canary Islands (they are 21 and 18 now). If we were to offer them to come on holiday with us now, neither of them would pick Egypt over any of the Canary Islands.

I'm inclined to agree. Also been to both, would have thought the Canaries for older teens, just not enough for them in Egypt (assuming you would pick Sharm) If u did choose sharm its 40 kilometers long and you would need to be in Namma Bay, elsewhere everything entertainment wise is hotel based and not very lively at that.
