Hi heps999,

This seems very unfair. As an agent, if we had booked a holiday and made the mistake, we hold are hands up and say sorry, write it off and a good telling off. I suspect as it is such a large amount, they want to minimise their loss but at the end of the day, they quoted, you agreed and booked it, end of. They shouldn't be chasing you for more money because they messed up with the figures. A confirmed booking is a legal contract between you, the agent and the supplier, the only rises that i believe they can enforce is any changes in government taxes, otherwise, don't pay it.

If they had miss quoted, then called them back to book it and they told you then that they had messed up then fair enough as nothing would have been confirmed.

Let us know how you get on.

Cheers
