Apologies for the change of subject, but I arrived back from holiday last week and I feel I must compliment Flyglobespan on the excellent flights from Glasgow -Malaga -Glasgow.
From the very quick check-in at Glasgow, the clean aircraft with courteous staff and more legroom than other low cost airlines it made for a relaxing start to the holiday.
Definitely my No1 choice for future low cost flights.
The only hic-cup came at Malaga where two flights had the same check-in desk and the queue looked longer as a result. After the changeover we went through quickly.
This is the first time I had flown with them and the difference was noticeable.
has any flown from stansted with flyglobespan since the new security have come into force , and how long before should we arrive at the airport .. some say 3hours other 6 hours ?
Flyglobespan are going some, another two new longhaul routes from Glasgow launched today, weekly to Barbados from 21 January, and Twice weekly to Las Vegas from 2 February. Both flights are 3 class so im guessing a 767. Barbados is a Sunday and Vegas is Monday's and Friday's.
Just checking Globespan website for flights to Tenerife and found their taxes/ charges to be a straight £10. Taxes/ charges used to be £29.80 plus £9.80 fuel charge. Quite a saving. Does anybody know when and why this change came in.

Chico45, i would suspect they have built most of it into the fares, cause ive noticed that prices have gone up a bit lately.

Yes, you could be right but it is worth keeping an eye on their website. The prices don"t always go up, they alter them fairly frequently sometimes just switching prices between days. Of course the trick is knowing when to book. Not always easy!

Does this seem a bit steep? I suppose its hard to compare as there are few flights to the caribean from Glasgow. No matter any way I'm still jelous.

Globespan have now opened their flights for summer 2007 to Malaga, Palma, Faro, Alicante and Barcelona from Glasgow.
The prices are dearer than last year but I have just booked Glasgow to Faro at £110 return p.p.

Does anyone know when Globespan will be selling flights from Edinburgh/Glasgow for 2007, at moment only up to 31 March except Faro, Palma, Alicante and Barcelona, I'm really looking for the canaries for April and also July (planning a spot of DIY this year).

yes I booked yesterday to go to malaga 2007, looked again today and they've gone up £9 each already!!
Yep, get in quick, they are on sale and going up!!!! Look on their website everyday from now on till you get your destination.

Yes get in quick we booked Edinburgh to Barcelona this morning for May/June next year and already it has gone up by five pounds each way! 
gotta i was very impressed with flyglobespan stansted to tenerife , took off at exactly on time at stansted and the return to stansted took off 30 mins earlier than scheduled , with a great service onboard , friendly staff , clean , good snacks , will definatly use next year to tenerife...
We have booked to go Benidorm in Oct. What sort of things do they sell on-board food wise?? Do they sell drinks etc.
they sell 2 types of sandwiches and £3.00 each coffee £1.60 (kenco) pringles etc and other basic snacks , also soft drinks small cans , also limited amount of alcohol

Try phoning them, save you waiting and checking daily. I tried to price package hol to Costa Brava and flights are out but no accommodation.
They say they don't know when flights are due out when you call them.
