Hi,

You do need all if it, include the other part not underlined.

Do not hesitate, just book it, its a great price and has already sold out once, this is the second release of rooms.

I use Fatwallet for all the codes, and have recently booked Ceasers Palace.

Hi Kaz

What rate did you get Caesars Palace for and when are you going?

I booked the Aladdin last week for May and got a rate of $59 for all 9 nights, 5 the first week and 4 the following. Weekend was going to be $399 so I passed and will stay at the IP.

Just checked the link above and the rate for our dates is now $69 so nights and $79 for others. :D

Luci,

Found a great offer on FatWallet, pasted the link, and have booked Caesers Palace for $180.00 per night, that was for the Deluxe Palace Tower Guest Room. There are no restrictions, and you do not need to be club members. It is not that easy to find the offer, so if you need any further help please make contact. Sorry just checked the offer expired on the 4th Feb. This was a little more than I really wanted to pay, and did consider moving to the Alladin as it was such a great deal.

Just posted in the link above, and the offer for the Aladdin is still there, not sure of your dates but between the 25th May - 31st May it will cost $623 for 7 nights, may be worth a look. The only thing you do need to do, is register for your Aladdin players cards, before you check in. We stayed there last year, and found the location very central. You need to post all of the link it ends CNEW7;?

Thanks Kaz :tup I also keep and eye on Fat Wallet as it is excellent for getting deals.

$180 is a bit more than I'd like to pay for Caesars. We stayed there in November at $120 which included a $25 dining credit. Found that rate on http://www.travelzoo.com , the US site not the UK one. Also stayed at the Venetian for $119 via an email offer.

Will keep monitoring rates right up until we go, but I don't think I'll beat $129 for the IP at the weekend as the de la Hoya fight is on that weekend.

You are right there Luci, that rate is good for a busy time.

We have now decided as someone else suggested to split our stay with 1 week in the I P and 1 week in the Tropicana
Anyone stayed in the latter of the 2 as there are no reviews for it on here.
I have read the reviews on a few other sites and some say good and some bad....as is the case with a lot of vegas hotels.
Woulsn't mind if someone here had some personal experience of a stay there

The IP is fine. Have stayed there once and would do so again if the price was right.

The only bad thing I could say is that sometimes the lifts are a bit on the slow side. There are other lifts besides the main ones, but they are a longer walk. It's not any slower than some Spanish hotels I've been to.

The other thing is just me, but there is no lid on the toilet seat and I like a lid.

Can't help with the Tropicana, but they do have a nice pool area. Have been in the Casino but not the hotel rooms.

We've had a lid on the toilet in 3 out of 4 visits, btu I must admit that it was strange that one time we didn't have one.

Have just booked the IP again for November and the rates are up again, although I am getting the Friday night for $109. Will monitor rates at other hotels nearer the time, but I just like to have something booked.

yeah IP is fine but ask for a room away from the Carnival court or you may regret it!!

Tropicana is due to be imploded in the fairly near future isn't it?? It's very dated so you can get a good deal there. Not everyones cup of tea to be honest.

Tango,

Why do you not consider booking direct with the IP, for your two weeks. At least that way you will have a room if there are no better offers. At the time of booking all they take is the first nights rate, and the rest is settled on departure. This room can be cancelled, and money returned up to 48 hours before you arrive. This is what we have just done.

Keep your eye on Fatwallet, but patience is the key to a great offer. We have only just booked and will be heading out to Vegas on the 25th April.

Can I ask why is it not everyones cup of tea....is it the location or just because it's dated

what about the Gold Coast?? I know it's not exactly on the strip but the rates are really cheap and they do have a shuttle every 15 mins.
Just considering it really because the second of our 2 weeks appears to be a lot more than the first regardless of which hotel we pick...maybe it's a convention week I don't know.
We thought if we went cheaper in the second wek we could aford a bit more expensive venue then for the first week

Kaz I'm not sure if 2 weeks at the IP will be within my budget

Gold Coast reviews HERE. I've requested the Tropicana Las Vegas be added to the reviews

Tangobunny,

It's just very dated to be honest. I've been in there a few times on my trips to Vegas and didn't like it personally, but I wouldn't worry too much. At the end of the day you only sleep there a few hours then you are out and about so if it's a good price, don't worry.

The Gold Coast is very much an 'older' persons hotel. I've stayed at the Orleans a few times and it's much better than the Gold Coast but a bit further out. The Gold Coast is ok if you don't mind a bit of wee in the pool....the sort of problems that old people have   No offence meant to anyone!!
As far as the shuttle goes, it's uncertain whether there will be a shuttle to the strip, it used to run from the Orleans, to Gold Coast, to the Barbary Coast on the strip, but now Coast Casinos have sold the Barbary Coast to Harrahs so there may be no shuttle that actually goes to the strip. They may still run one, as an incentive for their off strip hotels, but don't expect one, just in case it doesn't run!

Cheers,

TC

Thanks for that
I was actually considering the Orleans as well as they have the multiplex cinema as well as the bowling.I'm just hoping the pools will be open that late in the season as someone mentioned some hotels close them down.
I think it makes sense for us to split the weeks in different hotels we though 1 week on the strip near the north end but no further that the Frontier and then 1 week slightly off strip say Orleans,Tropicana or Gold coast...we did contemplate Terribles as well
I'm going to book my Virgin flights when I get back from my week in Beni Then I'll book my second week in a cheaper hotel around July time then finally book my first week in a strip hotel nearer the time say a month before we go
