We are probably now leaving it a little late to find summer availability, but I would really appreciate any recommendations for family holiday cottages in either South Devon or Cornwall. We are looking for 4* accommodation that consists of a small number of cottages with facilities that include indoor/outdoor pools, putting green, games room, football etc for our boys who are 8 and 12. Close to beaches and a few pubs. I have had a look on the internet, but there is not much available for a week at end July/August.
I know in the past I have found a website that lists cancellations and late deals, which is really useful, but I can't seem to find it now.
Any recommendations would be much appreciated. Thank You.
have a look here http://www.premiercottages.co.uk we have stayed at a few there many have swimming pools etc. although anywhere decent will probably already be booked long ago you may be lucky with a cancellation :D. They are not a booking agent . you book direct with the cottage owners who have independantly put together a brochure. 
there may be a central phone no there that could help you with any cancellations . We stayed at Tredethick cottages in cornwall 2 years ago and its fab and they regularly send me emails with summer cancellations . stayed here last year http://www.poltarrow.co.uk again great . another good place to look is http://www.westcountrynow.co.uk the tourist board site . they may know of any availability. I also found this link a while back which i quitre fancied http://www.breaksincornwall.com/breaksincornwall/beachcomberspenthouse.html Juliots well looks nice on that site and a lovely part of cornwall

Thank you - I shall certainly take a look at all your recommendations.
just had a look on the availability page for premier cotttages . put in 25/8 and a few came up . many quite expensive but a couple of them looked a reasonable price
