We usually take some €'s and our debit card. We have a Nationwide Flex account which gives good interest rates and they don't charge for withdrawals. Most places will let you pay with Visa.

Have a lovely time. We've been to Es Castell and round the water bay area on a night was really nice. It's near to Mahon which is well worth a visit also.

Hey valetor, i'm going to es Castell in a couple of weeks too! I love the town, it's not too touristy and there are a few good bars dotted around.

You can maybe get a boat trip from the small harbour in Es castell, I did it once and it was lovely. I have also done the glass bottom boat from Mahon harbour, you don't need to book, just turn up and buy a ticket for the next trip.
