Funny we've just got back from the le ranolien as may may have read and whilst there considered where else we might be able to go next year.

I've heard this has a better pool. I read exactly the same as you and thought the same as our daughter will also be 7.

Judging by this years experience they are not too strict (yellohvillage). I took my son 3 and a half down a shute on my lap after seeing others do the same.

At the Le ranolien they do not provide 'life guards' but pool attendants.
You are responsible for your kids the rep told us.

These pool attendants were good a blowing there whistles if they saw kids going down slides with inflatables

As these are both under the yellohvillage chain this may also apply to this site.

Good luck

Thanks for that cool4cat! I hope it is down to us as parents, as it is a long way to go and then find out that they won;t let kids go on!!

We have just returned from a fantastic caravanning holiday at this site with our 4 children, and our 5 year old son used the slides on our lap (because he didn't fancy it by himself). Saw plenty of young children using them, some really little with armbands, so no problems the water wasn't very deep at the end 1.2m I think. Hope you have a fab time we certainly did and are recommending this site to all our friends.

The Griffs.
Thanks for that. Did your kids use the kids clubs? we have booked with Keycamp, who have a fun station that our daughter will hopefully be making use of.
Anything else you can tell me about the site.
Thanks

Our kids didn't use the kids club. great beach at Carantec (5mins in car) with 3 restaurants overlooking the sea (middle one had fab Moules!).

Pool open till 11pm on Saturday night - kids had a great time!

Small shop on site but large supermaket up the road (called Casino)

Plenty of wine warehouses in the area - aim for the one on the roundabout on the way to St Paul de leon (they give you a free bottle - excellent prices!)

Places worth a visit are, Roscoff, St Paul de leon, Morlaix and Carantec.

Have fun. We sailed with Brittany Ferries, Plymouth - Roscoff, swimming pool for the kids and adults on deck, fab, so don't forget to take swimming gear as hand luggage.
