My friend who is in Goa has been told the flight back to Manchester next week (17th Feb) is full, so they are staying another week free of charge, aren't they lucky.
WOW Very lucky and I hope they have understanding employers! I guess they'll also get the daily allowance for food and drink at the hotel their in of about £10 a day.
This is the first time I've heard of anyone being "bumped" for a week! I wonder how many others it has happened to and what the reason is??
We all know that Monarch have changed aircraft from the A330 to the A300 but my understanding is the A300 actually have more seats, less range and hence the requirement for them to refuel in Bahrain.
Anyway, I hope they enjoy it

If they have been "bumped" they should also offer you compensation as well as your bed and board. It used to be about 600 euros for India but they quite often omit to tell you. Check out travelwatchdog euro aviation rules.
