Theres a great caravan park just outside Dornoch,Grannies Heilan Hame,its set in a great location with fantastic beaches,has entertainment on site.

Ashamed to say although we live in Scotland, we rarely holiday here. If you try http://www.visitscotland.com it will give you all sorts of information you need for a self-catering holiday. One place you could try is Tobermory on the Isle of Mull, it's really beautiful, and it's where the kids TV show Balamory was filmed

Dornoch is on the east coast though, and the caravan park referred to is in Embo which is about 3 miles away - it is still right on the beach.

whereabouts in the North West of scotland are you looking to go ? we're in the very far north east next to john o groats so should be able to find out some information for you? if its the far north west its very sparsley populated lots of small villages but tere's plenty of caravan parks I'm sure
let me know roughly where your looking at going and I'll find something out for you.
PS Grannies Heilin Hame is nice but it is on the east coast though only a couple of hours drive to the west.

Its near Kyle which is close to the bridge over to Skye. There are lots of lovely villages around with pubs etc. My very favourite, Plockton, is a short drive away. I don't have any personal knowledge of this house but I thought it looked lovely and the scenery around this area is stunning.

this is a caravan park renting static caravans that's supposed to be good, i believe there's a pub not far away, but I'm sure the park will tell you the exact whereabouts if you gave them a call.
