The Cimbel would probably be the best bet if you want right on the beach. It attracts a mainly Spanish cliental and is very nice. Other 4 stars to consider only minutes from the beach and centrally located would be Hotel Agir, Hotel Belroy and in the centre of the old town The Avenida, which i have stayed at. It has a small rooftop pool which is heated in the winter months.

Hotel Sol Costa Blanca is on the beach about half way between new and old town.

The Hotel Don Pancho is on the Avenida Mediterraneo, close to the beach and all shops, bars and restaurants of the new town.

I haven't personally stayed at this hotel, but is one that suits what you are looking for. There a other good 4* hotels in Benidorm, set slightly back from the beach, including the Hotel Marina, Hotel Madeira Centre, and slightly further away, the Sol Melia.

we have stopped in the benidorm centre thats 4 star you can find it in portland very nice and only 2 minutes to the beach the cimbel used to be waiter service if you like that sort of thing 
flamingo oasis i would'nt recommend any other you will love it there.
Hotel Nadal on the very end of the Levante beach is a fantastic hotel.
One of Benidorms smallest and there's a real personal service. Its very reasonable and each room has a sea view (the entire Levante beach, the Balcony in the Old Town and Isla De Benidorm..the balcony is perfect!)

Good hotel but at least 15minutes walk to the beach!

It is important to request a full sea view room at the Sol Costa Blanca , if that's what you want. Some rooms are only side sea view, and look directly on to neighbouring buildings. Only a relatively small number of rooms have full sea view, and rooms at the back of the hotel face towards the busy and noisy Avenida Mediterraneo.

thanks for all your help. Have tried lots of the places you have sugested but am really struggling to get something for the 20th to the 24th of june for 2 people. My partners dad is sick and we are trying to squeeze in a short break at short notice to give us a breather. Anyone any suggestions

Wintersunshineholidays has the Magic Fenicia hotel available for those dates for £245 half Board. Not stayed there, but there are reviews on the hotel reviews page.

Nadal is not showing up on booking sites as being available but my friend rang the hotel through their website and booked up for next week. Maybe worth giving certain hotels a direct ring if you can?

You make a good point David. I have checked the email i had from the hotel and it states a 'sea view room'. However, i have emailed them again asking that this be a 'full sea view room' as its a birthday treat (which it is).

WE are looking to go on a long weekend in october and would be gratfull if anyone can recomend a good value 3/4 star hotel in the levante area .
After lookig at various reviews I cannot find a hotel that stands out from the rest apart from the Flamingo oasis but I do not want to go AI.

Try the calypso hotel , rosamar hotel,ambassador hotel or the ruidor ...They are all good hotels in benidorm levante area goodluck mazza

Hi... we stopped in the ambassador last year and have booked up again for summer 2008... really good hotel and central for everything..

Don't forget the Pelicanos also in the Levante area. 5mins from beach, bars.
I can also reccomend ambassador, - been 3 times. Going to beni on tue, staying at the orange, so will let you know about that one when I return!Regards, BBB
