Hi hope you don't mind me joining this discussion that I have just come across... although a bit after your last postings... We have been going to Alcossebre for about 12 years and eventually brought an appartment. (as we love it there so much) If you want Tapas try JJ's on the promonade by the Les Fonts beach (next to the Alcossebre Hotel) he does the best Mussels in town, very reasonable and spanish. A lovely meal of the day can be had for about 10euros at Illes next to cheers 3 course meal and half bottle of wine. He also does a great T Bone steak although not always on the menu you have to ask if he has it. It isn't a traditional english t'bone more like a Sunday roast rib of beef cost is about 15euros.... If you want to go inland to Cabanes there is a Tapas bar called Tony's extremely Spanish and reasonable. There is a new Italian restaurant on the road from the marina going towards the town just after Isvers supermarket. Best place to go and stock up for food if you are there for a couple of weeks is the carrefour at Vinaros. They have a fish counter to die for. they will clean the fish without any hassle not like our supermarkets. I nearly forgot we found a great restaurant last week called Rosemunds at the other end of Las Fuentes, Rosemund is Nigerian and is a superb cook and host very reasonable prices meal for four three course and drinks just over £100 euros. open every day in summer but now shut Tuesday from September. She only has about five table inside but has a few on the terrace in the nice weather. plus a small area with sofas near the bar so you can relax after the meal without having to sit at the table...Suemarie
