I know, I remember all the hassle you had. We are seriously thinking of booking scheduled flights next time just so that we can get all the things over for the childrens home. We always have such a lot we can't take.

dont know how they know which passengers have booked the meals....we dont book them as yongest would just pick at it and leave it at best... they are re not that well presented either and if it doesnt look good he would probably just stick a fork in it ...
we weren't offered one on a thomascook a gran caneria flight last year.....maybe they seat people who dont pay for meals in seats together....then tell flight attendents for example " rows 1 to 5 do not require meals "
Fritz....weve always taken our own food and had no problems....as long as you keep to the rules about what you can take through security there isnt a problem....and bear in mind if you take sanwitches there isnt excesive mayo ect on them.....and they are eaten or put in rubbish bag before you leave the aircraft, as laws in some countries forbid you to take meat , dairy products,or eggs into the country

We have just returned from Egypt[Luxor Airport] Monarch flight, were lucky on way out had 3 seats for 2 of us

on the return flight we asked for the twin seats at the rear of the plane and had them with no touble,no extra
cost,meals included
worst airline meal ever, always carry a pkt of biscuits for times like this, the meals were
sausage and mash, they were so hot they had started to burn ,yuk

our pre booked sit together seats on the way home that we paid for were not on the computer at Goa, so I have emailed monarch to get a refund

Twice in the last 2 years we have been asked if we want to pre-book meals and we have not bothered as the cost was £10 each and we always have a meal at the airport anyway and the flights were only about 4 hours both times. Even though we didn't pre-book the meals we still got them given to us, we did feel sorry for all those people who had paid £10 and we got them for nothing both departing and returning on both trips.
