In my experience the duty free prices in the UK aren't that much cheaper & often more expensive (captive market and all that)! What I'd do is visit your local Dixons to choose a model, check the prices on the 'net then give Dixons at the airport a call on 01293-569509.

Quite right - thinking about when we get there and trying to forget the flight, 6' 2" and a bit chubby is not not a lot of fun on a charter!

Another two one the same flight ,will definatley be in yates !!! 
Better to buy online rather than Dixons or Jessops I saved over £100 on mine
we bought a memory card in the kodak shop in candolim it was much cheaper than here as are developing costs, think the camaras were slightly cheaper than here but not much, also bought a camara bag from same shop, was also cheap.
I don't know about disposable digital cameras, but they do sell disposables. We took our brand new digital camera with us, but didn't want to take it on to the beach everyday as it was such a palava trying to keep it sand free.
We bought a disposable camera from the Elephant Shop for 250 rupees and got them developed with an extra set by the next day for 480 rupees. I'm sure you can probably get developments cheaper as we did it at our hotel as we nearly forgot!

before we went the pound shop were selling disposable camaras for well £1.00, they are handy to have especially on boat trips ect, or just to stick in your handbag, on 2 occasions i left my digital camara in bars ect, but each time they were kept for me, I'm not so sure i would have got them back here 
If you are stopping in Bahrain they have digitals at good prices. but you don't have a lot of time to browse.
i got a creative juke box for £127, best deal i've seen on the net was for about £15 dearer.
Bahrain duty free have a website but i can't remember the address or if they list the products and prices.
i agree with above comments regarding buying at UK "duty free", they don't seem especially cheap.

140.99+5.30 pp = 145.29, is the equivalent on that site. Whilst I was looking at it in bahrain another customer was looking at didtal cams and decidedNOT to buy as he thought he could get cheaper in UK.

My son bought me out a new digital camara for christmas we got a memory card in the Kodak shop and yes they did have quite a variety
