You could do a DIY break using low cost air carriers and hotel rooms - try opodo, expedia, cheapaccommodation.com, Ryanair and Easyjet amongst others. You can also book directly with your favourite hotels - by web, fax or email. I think you'll certainly find that all the Costa Dorada hotel staff speak some English. Good luck!

I see you're from Strathclyde. You can book flights from Glasgow with Air Scotland to Alicante or Malaga very cheaply and then book a hotel for a few nights with either Laterooms.com or ebookers or similar.
